Merged: 2008 Schedule/First Game!

we get a dome game against the bills in december, instead of at ochard park, you have to feel awful for the bills fans, losing a home game vs the phins who are probably thier bggest rival, that is like taking the pats game in miami and playing it in cuba

how can the NFL make a team play 4 out of 5 games on the road to close the season, this is just totally unfair

the Dolphins have gotten screwed with the scedule consistently every year over the past decade. The scheduling gods do not like us very much.

but then again, if we were a better, more talented team that could win games, the schedule wouldnt be tough.

Give the the 98' (or whichever you choose) dolphin team this schedule and it isnt nearly as tough for that team as it is for the 2007 Dolphins. (If you catch my drift)

crappy thing is there will be no tailgating at this game as there is no where to tailgate....good thing will be the union station walk though....gonna be trippy walking into the dome going to watch the fins instead of the jays

Yes and its not out of the realm of possibility that the Dolphins don't move. New owner with no real ties to South Fla, and a fan base that is dwindling because of ethnic changes. Los Angeles may look nice to Mr Ross in 4 or 5 years. He can sell the stadium to the U of Miami.

Folks keep an eye on this.....it could happen.

Sorry to correct you, PMZQ, since we're all Dolphins fans here, but...

Everything points to the Dolphins staying in Miami for a long time. Stephen Ross attended Miami Beach High School, has a home in Palm Beach, and claims to be a lifelong Dolphins fan. The Dolphins are one of the most lucrative franchises in American sports and the fact that Ross will eventually own all of a stadium that is undergoing a $250 million renovation should convince him to keep our Fins in Miami for the forseeable future.

By the way, I am a Cuban-American Dolphins fan and a native Miamian who attends the University of Miami, and I can honestly tell you that there is a legion of Hispanic Dolphins fans throughout South Florida. If attendance and viewership go down for Dolphins games, it will be because of the team's dismal performance and not because of "ethnic changes." Also, I can assure you that the University of Miami would rather build an off-campus stadium close to Coral Gables for a couple hundred million dollars than purchase a sterile stadium located 25 miles away for more than $1 billion.

I will finally get to go to my first Phins game this year. The Chiefs game is four days before Christmas which means I will not be having classes. See all you fans in Kansas City!

Seven Wins, Nine Losses

Respectable after the 2007 debacle and something to build on.

With the Road game in Toronto, Ricky will at least feel at home (former Argo that he is...), now that would be funny if the crowd ended up in our favor!

honeslty i have no idea what to expect.. last year i was hoping for 6 or 7 wins.
and got 1

honestly i see about 4 or 5 wins this year. but who knows.

I stand by the fact that "ethnic changes" have hurt the Dolphins. Just look at this board, and then look at a board from most other teams in the NFL. Many of the people on this board don't live in Miami anymore. They live elsewhere. This is not the case if you check out an Indy board, or a KC board or a Tennessee board.

When was the last time you saw a TRUE sellout at Dolphin Stadium ? One with FANNIES in the seats and not disgused as orange seats ?

I will be traveling up for the game. Be happy to do a dolphan tailgate with you.

What exactly leads a 1-15 team's fans believe they have an "easy win" in week 1?

Probably the last time we did anything somewhat productive. It's been a good 8+ years since we've really done anything. I actually think we sold out some games last year as well. If they're in their seats or not is another story, you would be suprised how many people hang out inside the stadium.
