Trent Gamble Has Staph Infection

Looks like he's the 7th Dolphin to come down with it.

Backup safety Trent Gamble appears the latest to have contracted a staph infection. Gamble reportedly entered a hospital Wednesday and could remain for up to four days, putting availability for the Patriots game in doubt.

"We suspect it's a staph infection, and we're uncertain whether he can play," Plantation-based agent Brett Tessler said.

Hopefully this thing won't hit a "bigtime" player. Junior was lucky to have his during the bye.

Defensive tackle Tim Bowens, who missed Sunday's game with a hand injury, practiced and said he will play against New England.

Junior Seau, who also missed Sunday's game, practiced and is also expected to play, barring a setback later this week.

I think I heard about a second team having the same problem but I don't remember which one it is.

With Brady's shulder apparantly bothering him, and no WR's to throw to, we may play closer to the line than usual in ordere to stilfe the run game.

Dan Pires, of the New Bedford Standard-Times, reports New England Patriots CB Ty Law (ankle/ribs) did not practice for the second consecutive day Thursday and remains questionable for Week 7 versus the Miami Dolphins. In addition to his injured ankle, Law is also battling sore ribs.
