Anyway they throw screens and dumpoffs and Brady doesn't look like he can't go downfield because of his injury.

Seau (hamstring) and defensive tackle Tim Bowens (hand) both practiced Thursday and are expected to play Sunday. Wannstedt said both will start, although they are listed as questionable.

• Fullback Rob Konrad (knee) and offensive lineman Mark Dixon (ankle) did not practice. Both are listed as doubtful. Konrad said if he doesn't practice today, he doesn't expect to play.

• Defensive back Trent Gamble was still hospitalized because of an infection in his thigh. He is listed as probable.

• Wide receiver Sam Simmons was excused from practice after his wife went into labor with the couple's third child.
