As I said earlier, I like Frye, but I see we have a few Baas fans. He would not be a bad choice.

I thought I read something that his 40 time had dropped him way down on draft boards, but I can't seem to find it. So, I may be wrong.

I still prefer Blackstock, though. I believe a good OLB is harder to find than a good strong safety.

Shazor had been projected to OLB by a bunch of people

Adrian McPherson

His stock has risen and we will see how far tomorrow.

He ...could... be taken in the second if some team is enamoured with him . While he has the character concern and minimal collegiate experience , he without doubt is on every teams radar.

His agent Lee Steinberg is not Drew Rosenhaus...now he of course will promote his clients , but he has emphatically said McPherson is the best QB in this draft.

Hyperbole ? Perhaps.... do however remember that he just happened to say that last year as well.... his client last year? Big Ben ...

Depending on how the draft unfolds I would seriously think Miami has to consider him in round three.... again if he lasts till then . I believe he for sure is a first day selection.

GREAT athleticism that for well known reasons never got to be shown , coached and developed for several years , but he has the arm to be much more than a run first QB. Two years in a coaching enviroment like Miami's will be , would prove to be very productive IMO.

We will move down at least once , it may not be the #2 overall even. I fully expect Saban to be sold on many players in this draft . If at say #46 he has 4 players he not can live with but really wants , he will trade down. I think Miami will have that approach before each pick tomorrow.

I would be shocked if Miami does not select a QB sometime tomorrow.... If McPherson was there at #3 ? Well then the picks prior could all be an impact immediately.

We will see , Saban has not let anything out on how he really views any player . If he thinks Smith is worthy of a top 2 pick then I think you have to go with the QB you feel will lead you to perrenial playoff appearances and hopefully a Super Bowl. He will not be waffling on which player(s) he likes... whom he likes at QB tomorrow is the most intruiging thought for me 22 hours away from Miami's draft.

Assuming we take care of RB in the first round and don't take a WR...

I want to trade that second to get at least another third plus a pick after that. I think we might be able to get two thirds for it or a third and a high fourth.

I may be dreaming here, but I'd love to see us take a center, Chris Henry, and Nugent in the third round. :)

channing crowder, chris spencer, david baas or ciatrick fason.

His stock has been rising only in the minds of a few fans who have never seen him play. NFL people know better than to take a guy who couldn't complete more than 50% of his passes at the college level that high.

I agree with you...people are really overestimating Adrian McPherson as a quarterback prospect. He's got CFL written all over him, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him playing there 3 years from now.

I know they might not all be avaliable, but most will. Brown has dropped a lot.

I take Frye!

I agree with you...I take Frye, or maybe Shazor

There is literally zero chance he is playing in the CFL in 3 years.

The right situation is to select him to be developed. In round three that is presumed for a QB , so no expectations to start for at least 2 years. We don't know how high he would be ranked or rated if he had a relatively full collegiate career.

He has borderline perfect physical attributes. I think round three is neither a reach nor a steal..... make no doubt about it , he will be given the chance to learn and develop , and of course in time we all will see .... as we always do....

He was also the rookie of the year in the arena football league.

Anyone else think that Brodney may be available there? I am sure he is a 2nd rounder but where will remain to be seen.
