Now, I'm wondering how much of the bonehead plays can be related to coaching. If he can be "coached" enough as to not make the stupid mistakes, he seems like a very good backup to McMichael. Maybe bringing this guy in is part of the "coaching" process.

IMO, Lee will be a fin this year and a productive one at that. He's the 2nd best TE we have. I think it's funny how so many people are talking about our OL and other positions being "coached up" and here we have a decent player who has made quite a few bonehead plays and everyone thinks he's out the door. Not to mention, he's going to be pushed out the door by an NFL Europe castoff who wasn't even allocated by any team and whom most of the fans posting here knew nothing about before today. IMO, Rader=camp fodder.

People keep talking about D. Lee and his abundant penalties, but I recall lots of tips, drops, and a fumble or two leading to turnovers or missed first downs. Everyone makes bad plays, but this guy has butterfingers. Get 'em gone!!! Welcome Rader. Let's see what you can do.

Because he was involved with NFLE the Dolphins will get a roster exemption on this guy. He can play in the preseason until the final cut. Look for it. 60 catches at Marshall isn't too shabby. Leftwich may have been his qb.

Did Lee make more than his fair share of bonehead plays last season? Yes! Was I dissapointed w/ him last year? Absolutely! Do I think Holmes, Rader, and whoever else is on the roster is a better option at backup TE than Lee? No way! In fact, I think that with the new coaching staff, Lee is going to surprise many this year.
