MERGED 4X: Ronnie Brown

It was a little bit of both. Ronnie needs to realize that the players in the NFL are too fast for him to be hesitant and for him to dance. He has to hit the hole and run and use his power.
The O-line got pushed back a little but played pretty well. Good pass protection and decent run blocking. Too many penalties.

It's the little things that he showed in his first game. The one-handed catch on third down that evenually lead to McMichaels' TD. He also pass protected nicely. He also resembled Ricky by how he made positive gains out of what should have been a loss. These are things that we didn't have last year and imagine in 4 games we'll have Ricky back.

he danced a lot...a couple of those runs he could have just ran straight and he would have gotten more yards a la Ricky Williams....Ricky rarely dances...but it was his first game, great job blocking and catching Ron-ster.

he didn't see a lot of carries in preseason, missed 2 weeks of training camp, and didn't carry the ball much during college. he had a great first game in the NFL against a good defense and running behind a below-average offensive line. give me a break people :shakeno:

Ronnie did an OK job running. He definitely has good hands and was IMPRESSIVE in picking up blitzing LBs/CBs.

He did not hit the hole as hard as I would have liked, as he looked a little apprehensive. The O-Line did not give him much room, in his defense.

All in all, it was an awesome game! I am glad that Taylor FINALLY got his sack as he was around Plummer all game long.

GO FINS!!!

Unofrtunately Ronnie displayed a COMPLETE lack of vision out there today guys while Cadillac was breaking off 70 yarders!!

2nd half he was 14 of 48 for a 3.4 avg. That 5 yard loss on the one play in the 2nd killed his otherwise nice 2nd half numbers.

In chump change time at the end otherwise his average was the same as Ronnie's up till that point and it was only 1.

Ronnie will settle in fine. Missing training camp killed him so he just needs the time to learn the game more and he will be a stud!

I thought Ronnie played good today. Im excited to see how Ronnie developes. He made some nice moves to keep from losing yardage and it also seemed to me like he was going forward on every play except for when he was met in the backfield. He made a great drive saving catch on a 3rd down. Ronnie's gonna be a good one.

Is hard to gain any yards when you're getting hit in the backfield.I agree with KB that denver had a lot of people on the LOS but now they're gonna have to start backing off if we keep on hurting teams with our passing game.Once they back off then Brown will be a star and he can catch the ball too.

Ozzy rules!!

RELAX guys... they were stacking the line cause they thought we couldnt pass.. so now maybe teams will start backing up and then we can run a lil bit... but i seen some hesitation..on runs where im used to seeing ricky explode...

Ronnie Brown did OK for his first start. I'm not worried...

However, I said from the beggining of the off-season (before Ricky was back) that Sammy Morris was a very capable running back. He averaged 4.0 ypc (500+ yards) with that crappy oline. He should be splitting carries until Ricky comes back and starts running over people again.

That not true Ronnie had a ok game
Denver was playing the run all game long

RB just need to make his cutback move a little early (like Ricky)/the line is 100% better then last year

16*57=912yrds/but we all know Ronnie will do better than that (forget about 22 carries)

He's having a pretty bad game... anyone have an opinion on why? You think it's him or the O-Line? To be honest, he is looking a little slow to me... but hey, it's his first game.

It's his first game, I'm sure there were willies...but he has to be schooled by Linehan that this isn't Auburn any longer..you have to keep those legs moving and moving forward...too much stopping and spinning...they hit a lot harder in the NFL and the NFL Lbs are a lot faster than those in college...

While the Broncs have a decent run D, our OL really had a mediocre day...
