MERGED 4X: Ronnie Brown

While the Broncs have a decent run D, our OL really had a mediocre day...

I Disagree with that

Gus had not a lot but never the less time to throw the ball

Brown miss some cutback /where the hole was just wide open

I would give the O-line a B+ today

I would have liked for him to have more yards but he impressed me today. He ran hard he showed toughness he showed he can catch out of the backfield and the thing that a lot of rookies can't do he picked up the blitz. He will get better and the other things will come.

I think while he did average running the ball, everyone is overlooking what a great job he did blocking and picking up the blitz on several occasions. He had value more than just running the ball and the great catch and the blocking proved his upside is going to be big...

to be honest, he kinda reminded me of tyrone wheatly with the giants....a big guy like that shouldnt stutter stepping....hit the hole....he seemed a bit timid at times...but overall, not bad....yall saw the caddy go off in tb right? 148yards....wow..

He missed wide open cut back lanes a couple times that would have resulted in big gainers and did not display good peripheral vision out there today.

Caddy had 1 great run. ONE!!!! Other wise he was 26 for 76. One run does not mean you are "going off" Other than that late run, he was contained.

I think I can sense some , "We should have drafted Cadillac, cause he ran better" threads popping up as we go forward in the season. wah, wah.
Ronnie will be a great RB, as well as Cadillac. So, please give him a break!

he is still a rookie give him a game or 2 and he will do better.

I too can smell the stench of a parade of ignorant threads.

What is everyone worried about? It is only week 1. If he continues to do this into Week 15, then we could worry a little, but give him a chance. I'm sure LT or Priest didnt dominate in their first games either. It takes time.

I still think we should have drafted cadillac.

whoa whoa, hold up there b4 u go off(pun intended)

yo b4 you blast me, i wasnt insinuating (msp) that we shouldve drafted the cadyy..i just compared the two (ronnie/caddy). as you know they will 4ever be linked, if only beacuse of the history at auburn. however it will go deeper than that with us (dolfans) just because we had the choice. tampa didnt have the choice between the two. yea gruden said all along he wanted a caddy, but if the roles were reversed( like chris chambers!!awesome run) who knows whom wouldve been with whom. thats my point azstryker, i will support ronnie regardless, he is a dolphin, but since this was an observation thread, i gave mine. you are a dolfan, i love you too man.

Once Ronnie learns to just lower his head and push for whatever he can on those runs where the defense is in the backfield he'll be much more effective IMO.

He looked good, ran with power and showed some speed to the outside. He also looked very good blocking and had that sweet one handed grab.

I liked what I saw of a guy who had limited action in a few preseason games playing in his first pro game.

I didn't mean to insinuate that you wanted to draft Caddy instead. I was simply saying that fans who are lesser informed than you might look at tomorrow's paper and start threads about how we blew the draft pick. All I wanted to say is that Caddy didn't have his way with the Minny Defense. He had one great play on an otherwise mediocre day.
