Merged: A.Smith gets 6 year 50 million, what will Brown get?

Robert Gallery signed a 7 year, $60 million deal last year that included a $14 million signing bonus.

Ronnie is probably looking at a 5 or 6 year deal, and he will get at least $18 million in signing bonus money.

alex smith got 20% more than manning got last year according to espn.com

Eli Manning signed a 6 year deal worth $54 million. He got a $20 million signing bonus.

Clayton just said on ESPN, they're working on a 5 year deal that should be done by the end of the week.
5 year deal for Ronnie? No No No! They better not sign him for just 5 years. He needs at least 6 years and possibly 7.

he wont sign for that long because when he becomes a free agent hell be past his prime and won't get any money

Holy crap. That is wayyy to much money for a goddamn rookie. I want Ronnie in camp, but not for 6 years, 45 million..... jesus H christ. We better backload the heck outta his deal.

QB's get more just due to the position they play.

Aaron Rodgers will probably end up with more than the guy drafted ahead of him, it's just the nature of the position.

Brown will probably get 18 million in guaranteed. The fact that is guaranteed does not mean he gets it as a bonus up front.

Similar to how they guaranteed David Bowens salary this year.

I'd just like for to get into camp so he can learn the offense and get used to playing with Ricky. It could be interesting when he comes back what could of backfield we use.

I can't imagine paying that kind of money for a rookie after the Ryan Leaf fiasco!

Hope Ronnie doesn't bankrupt us now with our cap. :shakeno:
