MERGED: Albert signing with Dolphins for 10 mil/per

9.5 million for an average to slightly above average LT is not fair. It's stealing

Above average

So much stupidity in one post.

He is a Pro Bowl LT, my friend. He was getting 9 to 10 million per. I am sure it will not be a longterm commitment. Very happy if this goes down as such.

You won't have to cut Wallace to pay the qb...if anything miami can get out of the Wallace contract in 2 years if need be...or we can keep him at reasonable cap numbers the final 2 years or restructure once we get out of these large guaranteed numbers...

Will not effect tannehills contract at all...but new money now on aging vets that have large guaranteed cap numbers in say year two and 3 those can effect things when you are paying a qb his market value at that time...

Ie 2016...

Lol "it isn't my money". Such an ignorant statement. Do you think Cowboy fans are making that same dumb comment now that their owner keeps killing their cap space with horrible contracts? Such a sort sited, idiotic statement

Ironic?

All I know is that Albert is gonna give Tannehill a hell of a lot more time to throw the ball then anybody we had in that spot last year.

$7 or 7.5mm is a good deal for Veldheer depending on guaranteed money. If it's in the $5mm range that's a good deal. One I wish Miami had entertained.

No matter. Albert is middle of the pack, and after this draft will drop further. Do not want him.

IMO it could have been worse , we could have done like past years and wait till nobodys left , and just go with Bryant at LT again this year , IM sure this board would have exploded , if this would have happened lol , im just happy that were active .

I get the feeling McKinnie will be back to at least shore up both Ts and may start some RT.

I'm just a little shocked that we haven't been mentioned as the leader for 2 of the FA Ts. If some of these #s are true, I'm a little shocked we have not tried to pursue Collins or Saffold more. I would think as much need as we have and as much difference a better OL would increase scoring and help the D stay off the field (and not really pursuing Soliai and Starks), we should be in the running for 2 of the big names. Shore up the tackles and some of that money spent on Wallace starts being returned.

Is the draft G or T heavy?

If this is a smokescreen by Hickey to drive Albert's interest up so an LT needy team signs him, I'd be very excited. Get all those teams that need an LT sign the free agent ones so a good one drops to us in the draft would be the ****!

Mudder - He's after $12M, not $7.5M. That's why Oakland are now pursuing Saffold. Veldheer is linked to Arizona and is expected to be the highest paid of the free agent O-linemen.
