If a team pays with TO thinks hes worth....then watch out....then he will play football...granted...he can and will find new ways to rock the boat...but if he gets his payday....he will show it on the field....having said that....we have wayyyy too much more pressing needs...and that cap hit...would limit us from other things....so JUST SAY NO....To T.O.

We should, with an elite reciever like Owens as a number one, and someone as good as Chambers for a number 2. I dont care if we have Wayne Huizenga throwing the ball we would definetly have one of the best air attacks in the NFL.
 
As am I. But honestly, Douglass works for the team now and he should know better. Initially you look at this and you're like, oh man TO's lost it now. He could be suspended for the rest of the year. But, I think he's the one that is literally going to come out on top in this altercation. First off it sounds like at the very least the fight didn't go over badly for TO because in the end he was the one standing and asking McNabb and others if they want a piece. Second, as a "team ambassador" the fact that Douglass just went and picked a fight with TO makes it look like the team sent a freaking goon in to intimidate and strong-arm TO into submission.

I smell a grievance, and a justified one at that.

I disagree. Owens cannot be handled by any coach. There is no comfort zone for TO...even if you are winning he finds ways to become the spotlight.

who's throwing the ball??? cuz all that money we just spent on Owens leaves us with about....hmmmm $16.32 left in cap space....and thats in dollars....not millions...

The Eagles gave him a new contract as soon as they acquired him. He got the money and years he originaly ask for just to hold out the very next season or threaten to anyway. I honestly don't know too many people who would want his jersey because their isn't that many people like him. He talks trash to his own team and even sunk as low as to bring Donovans brother into it at a press conferance. McNabb must be a better man than me because I would have had to fought him over that. He never went to the summer workouts with the rest of the backs and receivers so he obviously don't think he would be very commited to any team. I wish Roy would have broke his neck with that so called horse collar tackle that the league TO trashes made up for him. When teams was tackling Ricky by his dreads it was part of the jersey.
 
If I know Nick like I think I do it will never happen. He's alot like Bellechik in the sense that he goes for positive minded players to avoid problems. He MIGHT get TO for an experiment if he is desperate enough to help get your offense going but he would be on a VERY short leash, F up once and your gone. I just dont see it happeing though, and that would be in your best interest for it not to.
 
Ok but do not fault just Owens. The Eagles orginization sits on 12 million dollars and yet refuses to pay Owens the money he wants, Corey Simon or Brian Westbrook the money they want or some players on the team the money they DESERVE. The Eagles orginization may be a very good one, however they have not WON anything. They act like they are gods gift to football when they simply have not done anything that should make them that. They think they are always right and all their decisions are the best while they now sit and watch their NFC Dynasty slowly fall to pieces. Had they just paid Owens it would have all be fine.....but for some reason they feel 12 million unused is a good asset to just look at while your team falls to shreds.

And 16 million isn't enough to get a QB who can throw the ball accurately enough for players like Owens, Chambers, Booker and McMichael to catch? Give me a break......
 
I thought TO told a assistant he could'nt tell him what to do and the assistant went to Douglass and he sent the B!TCH home.

He SIGNED the deal with his old agent because at that point he would do ANYTHING to get out of Baltimore. Now i agree that it was his own fault that in the second year of his deal he only made 3 million, and i agree that he shouldn't have complained after being paid 9 million the year before and big signing bonus too. But IF T.O can be tamed then he would be a HUGE player to have on a team.....

Belichick brought in Dillon. Worked out pretty well. Its all about the right coach who can handle these types of guys.

In the latest incident, Hugh Douglass, who works for the team now as an "ambassador" or whatever, just got into a fight with TO. Punches were thrown. Onlookers compared it to WWE Smackdown. When TO was done he looked at all the rest of his teammates, called out McNabb and others and asked if anyone else wants a piece of TO. The Eagles are so fricking stupid. They're letting themselves get dragged through the mud by a simple player. If they'd handled this situation with maturity in the first place, TO would not be allowed to be anywhere near the distraction that he is now.

Wow TO is the baddest man on the planet. I'm sure he called out Trotter or anyone else who wasn't a receiver or back.
