MERGED: Anyway to trade up to take Rodgers?/Let's trade up for Rodgers

Look Detroit took yet their 3rd 1st round WR, if we could talk them into trading Charles Rogers for next years second.

NO!

1) no more trading future picks. Especially since we will PROBABLY be a bad team this year and that will be a high pick.

2) Something must be wrong with Rogers if Detroit wants him gone only after 2 seasons

Rodgers will not fall later than st-louis or Dallas

Can you imagine him falling to GB at 24? Do you think GB would pick him? Or Carolina? KC? Trent is getting old.
Thats exactly what I see happening to Rogers now. The only other team possible IMO is New Orleans because of the Aaron Brooks rumblings! Green Bay seems the logical choice now. And no way do we have enough to go up and get him, that would have been sweet to come out of day 1 with Ronnie Brown and Aaron Rogers.:cooldude:

Hey, i'm think we can offer our 46 this year and second round next year for the 20 spot and get Rodgers.

Not a chance, not near enough!:shakeno:

Let's Trade Up To Get Aaron Rodgers

Let's offer #46 and next year's first-round pick to Dallas, Jacksonville, Baltimore, and Seattle, and see if any of them will bite.

Rodgers is a steal in the latter half of the first-round. We'd have a potential franchise QB with a lower first-round salary.

Brown and Rodgers? Now that's what I call a great way to start a new era

That damn trade for AJ Feeley still pisses me off. We probably could have moved up to #23 by offering #35 and #70.

Well, the teams picking #14-23 are all set at QB. He will definetly fall to atleast Green Bay at 24... and I'd be surprised if they didn't pick him. If GB doesn't pick him, he will probably fall into the second round (!!!)

edit: Possibly KC will pick him at 15, forgot that they were picking there

Damn, I should have used action points on my anti-Aaron Rodgers bet

In offshore sportsbook betting they have something called action points. Many of my friends use that exclusively. You don't bet Miami +6 as a win/lose proposition. You pay or get paid based on how far off the result is. Let's say Miami wins by 14. You get paid +20 units since you covered by 20 points. It's a great option if your picks tend to win big on occasion, but you get frustrated by frequent close loses. If Miami loses by 7, you only forefeit one point. You get to decide how much you will play for, let's say $50 per point. They might put a cap on you at 30 points or something like that. Even if Miami wins or loses by 50 points beyond the spread, the max is 30.

Anyway, that was an elongated segway to my frustration Aaron Rodgers has slipped so far. Pinnacle sportsbook let me wager he wouldn't be the first pick, at +1.65 odds. Now I'm wishing they offered an "action slot" on his draft status so I could be collecting cha-ching, cha-ching as every team passed on him.

Does Aaron Rodgers go to KC now?? Trent Green is 33 I believe. Or will it be Derrick Johnson??

looking at the draft tracker.....i dont see many teams who could use a QB...so i would put money on Aaron Rodgers STILL being there at #46.....and if he is...i want him.

Neither... They're trying to win now, and have no longterm future. The reason why they traded for PS.

I think they'll look at other defensive options, I think David Pollack could be their guy.
