Damn, I should have used action points on my anti-Aaron Rodgers bet
In offshore sportsbook betting they have something called action points. Many of my friends use that exclusively. You don't bet Miami +6 as a win/lose proposition. You pay or get paid based on how far off the result is. Let's say Miami wins by 14. You get paid +20 units since you covered by 20 points. It's a great option if your picks tend to win big on occasion, but you get frustrated by frequent close loses. If Miami loses by 7, you only forefeit one point. You get to decide how much you will play for, let's say $50 per point. They might put a cap on you at 30 points or something like that. Even if Miami wins or loses by 50 points beyond the spread, the max is 30.
Anyway, that was an elongated segway to my frustration Aaron Rodgers has slipped so far. Pinnacle sportsbook let me wager he wouldn't be the first pick, at +1.65 odds. Now I'm wishing they offered an "action slot" on his draft status so I could be collecting cha-ching, cha-ching as every team passed on him.
