Much like the way you are to Dolphins fans when they are optimistic, yes? By the way, what team are you a "fan" of?

If I recall correctly, Bennie Anderson played for the Baltimore Ravens. He played very well in the Ravens.

He didn't do much as a Bill last season, but how much noise can an OL really make in one season?

I believe this is a solid pick up, and Bennie Anderson will eventually become our starter at the OG position.

By the way, from my understanding, he was cut only because Buffalo is changing blocking schemes, and not because of lack of talent.

Alot. Everyone calls him Bennie "The Flag" Anderson around here.

Can a Dolphin fan be critical of a player on the team?

Can a Dolphin fan be critical of a prospect?

That crap you just thre out there is total BS.

Just becuse somone wants to present a different opinion on a guy another
team thought was worth releseing seams reasonable to me.

Just becasue you are a fan of a thing doesn't mean you can't be critical.

If that was the case, Wanny would never have been gone.

Think about it.

If we all danced around, throwing flowers at his feet, he'd still be the coach.

Competition is great but folks shouldn't let the fact that they don't like McKinney cloud there judgement. With some of you guys I think that if the Dolphins signed a RG that nobody had ever heard of, he would be annointed the as the starter on Finheaven because he's not Seth McKinney. I trust our staff 100% but the reviews I'm getting about Anderson are not that good. Everybody wanted anyone but Jay Fiedler to start at QB from 2000 to present yet nobody was ever better than him. Remember that. I'm rooting for this line:

LT - Shelton
LG - James
C - Hadnot
RG - Carey
RT - MacIntosh

If Anderson amounts to anything, it's a bonus.

Why do you think DMac should play RT and Vern RG, and not vice versa?

I've seen a few post this line up, but have yet to see any comments included to back up why that line up would be prefered.

Also, I'm getting the point that Bennie most likely won't amount to much, but whether it's him or Seth at RG, the winner is mostly likely nothing more than a stop-gap until Toledo is ready to start, if/whenever that may be.

Of course a fan can be critical of a coach, just like we as Americans can be critical of President Bush. And I was VERY vocal about Wannstedt and Spielman when they were here, so please don't even bring them into this. We have a very good head coach in Nick Saban and we're lucky to have him.

The thing about Enigmatics is he likes to pick fights with other posters. A snide comment here, a crack about someone's intelligence there. Just really petty stuff that has no place here.

So before calling someone's post "BS", try getting both sides of the story first.

I could be wrong, but D-MAC has experience at both tackle positions and Carey played some guard in college. Also they say Carey is a better run blocker than pass blocker which is another reason I like him at guard. I'm the type of person who could CARE LESS about draft position so the fact that we used a 1st on Carey and could move him to guard means nothing to me.

Who said Anderson was starting?

All teams bring in players to fill their allotment of players for training camp. McNeil quit football and Furio had some personal issues so I imagine it may just be a body at Training Camp. If he does work out great... I am sure it won't cost much on the Cap. I agree with one of the other fans with Carey at RG and McIntosh at RT. Best case scenerio to me would be Toledo at RG and Alibi at RT with Pape as a backup to both positions. That's only if they mature and show they can handle the positions. Dolphins pick-up a DE (undrafted) names Ishola... He's 6'3 250 and runs a 4.5 He was JT back-up all OTA opened to the public. Just remember Feeney from the Colts came out of Syracuse at 6'1 1/2" at 260 and ran 4.49.... sounds pretty close as far as numbers go. He played for Indiana last year and had a pretty good year. Everybody remembers the last undrafted Free-agent DE out of Indiana we pick-up? He plays for the Bears now.... Ogunleye

Oh that's cute. You tail my posts like a lost puppy dog with your snide comments, so who's "pickin' fights" now?

Regardless, you cannot dispell my comment. The majority of this board is convinced that every player we strap a Dolphin jersey on can somehow blossom. It's simply unrealistic. Some will find success, some will not. Look at a guy like Stockar McDougle ..........fits the same description........ overweight, bad work ethic....... These kinds of players won't find success under Saban's hardworking, blue-collar M.O. ...............

Bennie Anderson providing depth for training camp is all you can make of the signing. To say anything else would be strictly premature.

.......and again I'm just trying to talk football.........not how Bennie Anderson looks thru a pair of Dolphins sunglasses.
