Merged: Bennie Anderson RG signed by fins

I think there's a concensus that Bennie has some weight and concentration issues, but he also has some talent to work with. I still think he'd be more effective than Seth at RG nonetheless.

Seth just doesn't get good push in the run game, while Bennie apparently does. That's crucial for a Guard.

Anyway, may the best scrub win, but I'd still like to see DMac at RG if the Seth/Bennie experiement doesn't pan out.

Thanks for the response, Mr. Reality. I think I understand why some think DMac should play RT and Vern RG. I should start another thread for that topic though.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (June 9, 2006) -- The Buffalo Bills released starting left guard Bennie Anderson.

Anderson, who started 15 of 16 games last season, had two years left on his contract.

Buffalo signed him as a free agent after he spent time as a starting right guard for the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bills were unhappy with the five-year NFL veteran's play last season and attempted to replace him midway through the season with tackle Mike Williams before Williams sustained a season-ending back injury.

Anderson became expendable after the Bills signed Tutan Reyes this offseason, and with the emergence of Duke Preston.

Like I said, how will these fat guys hold up in the humidity in South Florida when it's in the 4th quarter?? How much stamina will they have??

I promise you Saban will make Bennie lose weight.

Not on a crash "starve yourself" diet either. He's going to get him in better shape.

I can guarantee that.

Looking at the photo of Anderson he looks pretty darn fat. He looks a lot heavier then 345 pounds.
