Merged: Brendon Ayanbadejo to Chicago for TE John Owens

I don't know anything about Owens. Anyone else? I guess that means Lee is really out of a job if we bring in another TE to compete for a spot behind McMike, LoD and (LS) Ed Perry? Hope this guy is better than Lee.

I think Owens is a great player and so is Brendon....its a good trade, especially for me cause I am a fan of both these teams lol:D
 
whoa, well i guess we didn't really have room for brendon, dont know who this john owens is but hopefully he can make the roster if we gave up someone for him...
 
I hope Owens can play, we lost a very good special teams guy

the trade doesn't bode well for someone like Lee...
 
wow interesting... I am pretty sure Chicago's starting tight end is the dude we had two years ago, but got frustrated with Wanny and left... (can't remember his name-Desmond Clarke?)
 
Brendan got caught up in the numbers game but he will be a good addition to the Bears.Its about time Lee reaches his "potential ".We need someone who can catch the ball as well as block.But Linehans system likes TEs so he may be safe and he is ahead of Holmes and the other TEs except for Randy and Diamond.
 
why are we making stupid trades like that. we dont need another TE we need some good O-Linemen or a QB.
 
I wish we would have gotten a draft pick for him, I don't know much about Owens but I think we have enough suitable TE's right now. Especially with cuts coming tommorrow.
 
I understand the trade but I liked Brendan I hope he gets a chance to play somehow in Chicago and proves he can do something.

Probably camp fodder. We don't need anymore linemen. We have to let the ones we have get experience. We also don't need a QB right now. They would be worse off then what we already have because they have to learn the system. Our QB problems won't be fixed until next offseason (unless AJ magically becomes better)

right we should just trade a 3rd stringer for a great olineman or a teams starting QB... cmon saban wake up
