MERGED: Cam Wake gets paid

Wake will earn every penny, I have never seen a man get off the line of scrimmage like him. Every snap he goes hard.

He is going to be spent at age 45 because he is using all of his mojo, every cell of his being to get to the QB on every snap. What a beast.
 
Good for Wake and the Fins. Jeff is picking up steam after a slow offseason.

Now it puts the Dolphins in a great position with Jake Long. If they don't come to terms before free agency next offseason, the franchise tag is now available to use. My only question is how does Miami sign Wake to this new deal and sign the draft picks with what was left in the cap. Hopefully some players restructure and no one gets cut.

Good news for us and Cam. Definitely deserves it and gives us arguably our best player on D for another four seasons. It's also good to hear praise for Ireland cos the guy's taken some wrap this offseason but so far he's been solid as far as i'm concerned.

So, does this take the pressure off re-signing Jake Long? We can wait to see how he responds this year in the new offense, make sure he's healthy and if everything checks out then we can re-sign him and also have the option of franchise tagging him if we can't get him signed in time.
 
Good job Jeff, props to you for keeping our best pass rusher in Miami for the remainder of his career.
