Merged:Chambers getting some respect/Jets fans talking about Chambers

Bucs fans are some of the worst fans. The biggest part about BUCS fans I have is that most of them all liked another team BEFORE they won the Super Bowl, and after they won it, a whole crap load of people have become BUCS fans. One example is the moron that started this thread.

I lived in Tampa and most cars I see on the streets have their custom made Bucs Tag .I don't see that driving on University drive...Even when the Bucs have a horrible season, they are sold out before the start of the preseason. I've never seen that in my life how this stadium is always full and Dolphins stadium is never full or always full with our opponents fan...Call them the worst fans, they are the most loyal fans...Raymond James is never empty even if the Bucs play the Bears or the Bengals.

I thought respect had to be earned.

Chambers has the tools to be a very good wideout. He makes some spectacular grabs. But hes still inconsistant.

This is his year to finally show what he's made of, he'll be in a offense that passes, and he should finally get 100 catches and/or 1000 yds. If he's as good as his hype.

But bottem line, he's going into year five, if he dosen't get it done it may be time to find a new number 1 guy.

Griese didn't look so bad last season. Perhaps it was the offensive system here?
he also did not look THAT bad in Denver... Face it our old Offensive system was TERRIBLE. I am excited to see a real offensive system in Miami, for the first time since Shula left.

Dolphin Stadium has ~20,000 more seats. And from what I've heard, 10 yrs ago you couldnt give away bucs tix. similar to rays tix today

EDIT: IT is more like ~10k RJS = ~66k DS = ~75k

the bucs tags and flags was b/c it was "fashionable" to be a bucs fan 3-5 yrs ago. Even more so b/c of the uniform change. i will put my life savings that then merchandise sales revenue of the Orange Bucs with Bucanneer Bruce was nowhere near the level that it is today......

Also, i every woman in the tampa area also became a overnight bucs die hard fan....its actually funny b/c 90% would cheer when they werent supposed to during the games.....

Chambers is kinda inconsistent...When you put a premiere cornerback against him, het gets literally shut down.

Look at the Eagles game we played 2 years ago, how they took him out of his game..He has trouble getting seperation against good CB..That's a fact...
You can look at that game, but look what he did to Charles Woodson in 2002 or take a look at how he's abused Chris McCallister every time we play the Ravens. He's also abused Winfield and Clements from the Bills when given the opportunity to mak a play on the ball. Once again more has to do with incossistent QB play and piss poor play calling.

I personally think Chambers is a starting WR. However, he doesn't show up throughout the whole game like you wish he would. Hopefully, he will show that it was the Wanny way that made him look bad and not that he doesn't stay focused.

Bucs fans aren't even close to the most loyal fans in the league. If you want loyalty take a look at Green Bay or for that matter look at the Bills fans. I live by Bills country and I'll argue with anyone until I die that they have the most loyal fans that I've ever seen. If you don't understand you have to fly up here and go to a game. I'm not saying that I like their fans or anything, but I'll tell you they sell out pretty much no matter their teams record and they are at the stadium supporting their team no matter what the record book says.

To me I guess it's how you define a #1 WR..

Gods - Moss(30), TO(23), Johnson(20), Harrison(25), Holt(22)

#1's - Eric Moulds(6), Ward(14), Jimmy Smith(10), Andre Johnson(10), Reggie Wayne(19) P. Burrus(9), Javon Walker(21), Joe Horn(21), Mushin Muhammad(19)....

Chambers (18)

TD Totals for the last 2 years.. left some guys off the list because of only 1 year in the league.

If you take away yards in which Chambers best was 968 and look at TD's Chambers is right there with the other #1's I mentioned. Most guys play in a better pass offense than Chambers and most have had better QB's throwing to them. Chambers to me is a #1 just waiting for a breakout season in an offense that isn't run 1st.

Pardon Me??

Chambers has had ONE good game against Buffalo, and it was 4 years ago, his first game against us. The year we went 3-13 (101 yards, 2 TDs.)

In the 6 games since then:

23 yds 1TD
49 yds 1TD
51 yds 1TD
23 yds 1TD
17 yds 0TD
48 yds 0TD

Thats hardly what I would call abuse

Randy Moss & Chad Johnson are two receivers off the top of my head that get shut down when up against Surtain ans Madison....

So it happens
Exactly, not to mention Marvin Harrison and Big Game Tori Holt, both of whom have been locked down when playing against the better CB's in the league, especially the Patriots (Super Bowl) and the Dolphins...

Bucs fans are the most UNLOYAL fans in the NFL. I don't care how many people are on their season ticket waiting list, I have never heard so much whining as I do here. I can literally hear a caller call in and praise this team to the heavens after a win, and the following week after a loss, that same caller call in and complain that this is the worse team in the NFL and everyone should be fired and this fan or that fan is giving up his or her season tickets because of this or that.. it's unreal here. I have talked to 3 season ticket holders, who became season ticket holders the year after they finally got back to the playoff's, but, after two losing seasons, they want to sell them.. Yeah, nice loyalty their... the Tampa Bay Bandwagoneers!!!! :shakeno:

I like what Vilmatic wrote. He seems to understand that Chambers can be an elite performer if in the right system. It's nice to see Chambers getting some respect. Having Booker, Boston, McMike, and a run game will really take pressure off of him. IMO, this is his breakout year. If he doesn't get 100 recs, I'll be very suprised.
