Merged: CJ Anderson Super Thread- Offer sheet decision today

I have no doubts this guys better than damien williams but he sure looks slow on tape

i guess with so many needs you cant go to the draft...

We should draft Ezekiel Elliot in the first round and call it a good pick.He is probably one of the safest picks.

Id like to see us use maybe a 4th on a running back.

1- Apple
2- guard
3- up in the air (Matakevich?) (OL? DE?)
4- rb
5 & on - bpa within reason

Didnt someone on here have a shula quote "im not looking for the best 53 players, im looking for the right ones"? Guys our talent got waaaaay over paid. OV got Suh money, Miller and Matthews got under used and paid like bonafide starters, and even our backup DE got close to 5 mil a year. For only three more mil, and still half a year salary of OV, we got a probowl DE in Williams. We are trying to make shrewd scheme fit moves and load up on comp picks and money for next year when Gase has a full year under his belt and has analyzed what is really needed on the team. And maybe we didnt want to pay a top ten rookie this year, and feel good about the talent in the top 15, and picked up two starters because of it. Plus, we may get a starting runningback on a cheaper deal whose coming into his prime as well. Yes, we still have needs at G and corner, but we still have a MONTH of FA and then the draft so the sky isnt falling.

CJ isn't better than Miler but the difference between the 2 isn't huge. They are very similar.

As Pat Kirwin on Sirius/XM NFL Radio said the other day; guys like Lamar Miller are easy to find these days.

I don't rate Anderson TBH, he just isn't consistent. We have Ajayi as our power back. I hope he can be our three down back, but I don't know about break away speed. If we don't get Anderson, I won't be shattered.
I disagree Buff. Anderson can be pretty good - he's not that fast but he's tough and quite physical. He can be dominant when he gets on top, e.g. the Denver game against the Dolphins in 2014 when he rushed for over 200 yds.
BTW - Did you get down to Shark Park? Huge Cronulla win - LOL.

Those of you really into this signing, what does it say about Ajayi moving forward? CJ shared carries with Hillman who's a scat back but Ajayi and CJ are the same type of runners. CJ is being paid 10 times more and makes Ajayi redundant. He's just kept around for insurance now? Seems we've limited what was a promising young asset.

Every team uses 2 RB's in this league these days. 1 guy isn't enough

Ajayi is showing promise and hopefully growing into a reliable RB. CJ has established himself and is good security if Ajay doesn't kick into that next level....But it's true they both have similar styles

CJ is more power where Miller had the Jets....thats the big difference.

I'd say 90+% of the fans in Denver would be sad to see him go...

CJ Anderson is a dime a dozen. Miller has explosive quickness that maybe 2% of the league has. If the Dolphins were willing to spend 5 mil on Miller why not spend 1.5 more for a premier player in a key position? How committed are we to winning if we won't do that?

When the Dolphins were in a position to win they did the same thing to Reggie Bush and it cost us that year. Reggie would have helped the team instead we had Daniel Thomas to save some pennies.

Well, having Miller on the team for the past 4 years hasn't gotten us any playoff appearances. I'm ok with saving a little bit of money to spend elsewhere to improve bigger weaknesses in the team

you know how much you save if you cut Dallas Thomas? I think it's 1.6
