Broncos-Ryan Fitzpatrick had initial conversation, price more than Denver wants to spend at this time, and they could revisit talks later.@AdamSchefter

Kaepernick just said he'd go to Denver if they would pony up what cleveland was offering...Denver is in a tough QB position and they are going to have to give up a few bucks to get one of the top guys left...and extend Von Miller...Its actually a no brainer that CJ should be a Dolphin...but giving up 8 to move to 13 for what we got does make one have to consider the amount of brain cells were dealing with...

So its down to Fitz or Kap. as viable options no? just posted above about Fitz I'm not sure what Denver is going to do? Do they hold tight and go with Sanchez and and a rookie? that's scary.

Na.... Imo it will be either one of those two...my guess Fitz...

CJ Anderson is a dime a dozen. Miller has explosive quickness that maybe 2% of the league has. If the Dolphins were willing to spend 5 mil on Miller why not spend 1.5 more for a premier player in a key position? How committed are we to winning if we won't do that?

When the Dolphins were in a position to win they did the same thing to Reggie Bush and it cost us that year. Reggie would have helped the team instead we had Daniel Thomas to save some pennies.

Miller does have elite speed, but he does not run with power and is lacking in pass protect. I love Miller and would have liked to keep his big play making ability.

But the better teams seem to win titles with more complete backs who are grinders like Anderson....and Ajayi. I do believe we just watched Anderson win a Super Bowl didn't we?

I hope we get this guy as Miller was a little high on his asking price in my estimation.

I think Elway makes a move to get to the top of the draft for a QB.

That crossed my mind also, if he makes no other FA QB signing he almost has to you would think no? not sure how many chips he would have though to get up there.

Pretty much! Miller is a good back and there is no denying that. However, if our whole narrative is we can only be successful with L.Miller as our feature back then we're in trouble. This team needs to get to a place that it's so good at key areas(Depth and Philosophy) that a loss isn't devastating and derails the entire team. No RB in todays NFL barring they are Barry Sanders reincarnated should have that much say in a teams outcome. We should be able to put any competent back behind out OL, Blocking Scheme and overall Offensive Philosophy and they should be able to produce.

If at this stage, as a Miami Dolphins Football fans, we don't realize that's the best way to build a championship team then we have no hope. BTW, that doesn't exclude the QB position. You'll note a few teams(those built correctly) loss their star QB and still performed rather well.

This is the level we need to get to if we want champion(S).

that makes sense........

But there is a lot of interest in Denver and they are trying to work something out with those two QB's agents. So I'd think they will eventually work something out....

Watch these Superbowl highlights again....I'll take Anderson on my team...dime a dozen?....I think not!

Not to mention he wasn't running against a scrub defense. I believe Carolina was easily a top #5 run defense if not #1 overall. CJ certainly doesn't have Miller quickness or top end speed. But, Miller, in this life or the next could never break tackles and run with power the way CJ can.
