Merged: CJ Anderson Super Thread- Offer sheet decision today

Not to mention he wasn't running against a scrub defense. I believe Carolina was easily a top #5 run defense if not #1 overall. CJ certainly doesn't have Miller quickness or top end speed. But, Miller, in this life or the next could never break tackles and run with power the way CJ can.

Exactly...it seems like the Chris Johnsons(Lamar Millers)....the flashy speed backs are not really the grinder backs that seem to reside on champions...i.e. Marshawn Lynch, C.J. Anderson etc etc etc......

When is the time up for Denver to match?

That crossed my mind also, if he makes no other FA QB signing he almost has to you would think no? not sure how many chips he would have though to get up there.

They've always got future picks to mortgage if he really likes one of the top two qb's. I think Fitz will end up back in NY and Kap is nothing more than a backup who would probably lose out to Sanchez in camp.

Miller does have elite speed, but he does not run with power and is lacking in pass protect. I love Miller and would have liked to keep his big play making ability.

But the better teams seem to win titles with more complete backs who are grinders like Anderson....and Ajayi. I do believe we just watched Anderson win a Super Bowl didn't we?

I hope we get this guy as Miller was a little high on his asking price in my estimation.

umm.....HUH??? Couldn't be further from the truth. Miller will be missed severely......it will become evident by week 3.

Miller is a good rb and I wanted to keep him but he can be replaced, hopefully by Anderson.

We did not let any elite players leave this offseason.

In fact, if we sign CJ, we quite possibly upgraded two positions (in terms of production)

Good chance we'd get as much if not more out of Mario and CJ than we did out of OV and Miller last year.

Miller was underused, and I will miss him, but CJ would definitely fill that void.

Breakaway speed is probably the most overrated running back trait out there. It's the cherry on top to the rest of the package. CJ has a low center of gravity, great change of direction and quickness and runs with high level power. He fits this scheme like a glove. I liked Lamar Miller, but I like these guys about the same, he was the closest thing to Lamar on the open market when you consider integrating him into our scheme and his seamless fit. Ajayi and CJ will be a great grind it out tandem if we get him on Tuesday. Great fit in this division.

Miller did quite well with our ****ty OL. I wonder how CJ will do with a similar line? He had a great OL in Denver, or at least it seems he had a great OL in Denver.

Miller might be missed but not against our division where he was horrible he literally only had 1 100 yard game vs our division that was the last game of the season 2 years ago with his 97 yard run he's been terrible against Buffalo,NYJ,NE.

I would expect a decision Monday morning

Am I the only one who remembers it wasn't long ago that some fans here were saying Miller should be benched for Jonus Gray.

We all love Lamar but let's be real he has not proven to be an elite back like AP etc.... You can say he didn't get a fair chance but still it's not a big loss. Cj Anderson would be a nice piece I think. More physical. Plus he went to CAL.. Haha

Would you say CJ has comparable vision and style to Knowshon? Not really knocking Lamar because he has grown in his own right, but I noticed a HUGE difference in our run game when Knowshon was in there.
