MERGED: Diversity Group Upset With Mueller Hiring

I'm still trying to figure out how the race issue got involve in all this..I thought this was about procedures they followed in the NFL for hiring ppl..where's all this rage coming from. Miami should have informed this group of their intentions, simple as that. There is a protocol..those who say they hate the race card are playing the race card in these posts. Think about the issue and your responses. It doesn't involve the race card in this issue, it requires following procedures.

The thing is... Miami was not required to notify them of their intentions. They were only following the rules of the NFL, not the "guidelines" set in place by the Alliance group.

1 is a whole number and an integer

Did you find your Freshman math book or something. Look man I'm not trying to start stuff with you even though we have been going back and fourth for a while. This has gotten off topic, my complaint is about the manditory interview of a black coach before a coach is hired. I'm not here to debate if you should be called an african american or not. I'm not racist, but on the same hand, with the equality civil rights that have been passed no group should get a helping hand from the goverment or any other organizations.

"The guidelines that the diversity committee formulated are guidelines," said Greg Aiello, the NFL's vice president of public relations. "They are recommendations. They are not mandatory. Our understanding is that the Dolphins conducted a search for this position a little over a year ago, a search that included interviewing minority candidates, and they were working off of that search. They didn't conduct a new search. That's their position, and we don't really have an opinion to express about it."

No violation of procedures.

there are infinate amount of integers that are whole numbers.

Whole numbers are positive integers. -2 is an integer, but not a whole number. There are an infinite number of negative integers that are NOT whole numbers.

owned?

or Pwned?

I'm not sure if that's entirely correct, Miami kind of sidestepped the procedures with this "we had him on the list last year thing". That's not in keeping with the spirit of the requirement. Pretty soon you will have everyone doing that to sidestep the issues of our society. Plus in this one, Saban hired the guy, Wayne and Co. did this last year..so this is defintely one of those cover our arse BS lines the phins are handing the NFL and Alliance group. You would have to be a fool not to see through this one. I still think if Miami would have inform the Alliance group and NFL of their intentions, this could have all been avoided. Now I'm reading this thread and thinking, wow, I share the love of the phins with a bunch of hypocrites, covert at that. I'll get flame for that statement, but all I have to do is reread this thread and know my post is correct..

umm, reading problems? Are there not an infinate amount of numbers that are whole numbers and integers?

You proved nothing.

You made a mistake and can't admit it, and you did make up a name just for this thread... Face it, YOU ARE AN IDIOT

Suppose they did inform the Alliance committee, and then were told that they had to run the gamit of interviews again for the GM position. I thinik that they would have thought differently and refused. Wouldn't this have ignited the "equality fire" also?

Then that's different, Miami followed procedures and did what they thought was right, I wouldn't blame Miami for that one. I'm not sure what ignites the equality fire, but I do know if you question the equality issue, you get a thread like this one. Then ppl wonder why minorities cry race..look at this thread, and it has nothing to do with race, the issue has to do with procedure.

What don't you understand about it NOT BEING A REQUIREMENT for any position other than head coach? huh?

So there's a difference in notifying them and not notifyng them even though the end result is that they still do not comply?
