MERGED: Dolphins hire Lazor as new OC

Well, at least we found one...Anymore info on this guy? I like how Foles progressed. Hoping he can help Tanny make some strides!

So he had offers from both us and Detroid and chose us.
But I thought Philbin was toxic?
I though Aponte scared the cadidates?

Just with that fritz Walter nonsense people that jumped to conclusions and were proven wrong.

I want to know how he was going to the Lions and all of sudden is going to Miami. Crazy.

Here is some info, he did a great job with foles this season. I like the hire, glad it wasn't mcadoo or shanahan.
Lazor has served as an offensive coordinator only twice before, and both times in college: at Buffalo in 2001-02 and at Virginia in 2010-12, where the Cavaliers offense improved dramatically from 2009 to his first year on the job.

Last season was his only one in Philadelphia, and Lazor was praised for his work with Nick Foles, who blossomed under his tutelage. Lazor also has been as an assistant with the Faclons, Redskins and Seahawks.

Ross probably told Aponte to bring down the hammer on him... The money hammer that is...

Probably thought Tannehill was easier to work with. Stafford has said he will not change the way he plays and will not change anything about his mechanics and doesn't need any help.....kinda hard to work with someone who thinks they know it all. Tannehill seems to want to learn and get better....takes direction better I think.

Holy crap! All the doom and gloom will be back though. Its only a matter of time. But this is good news. Let's let it be that way for a while

Lazor was not on the top of my list, but I like a few things...

1. Chip Kelly liked him to have him on staff.
2. He did something to make Tannehill's fellow 2012 draft mate shine this year.
3. Other teams like Lazor enough to try to get him.

I hope that he works out. We shall see.

This guy did wonders in Philly. I'm satisfied.

To be fair, I think the HC had something to do with the success there. He is pretty good. However, I will give Lazor some credit.
