What happened to Tolver? The kid never got a shot to show what he's got and now he's going to rot away on IR. Hopefully he'll rebound next year and actually be given a chance. Meanwhile his inferior college teammate, Kasim Osgood, is getting substantial playing time in San Diego. Then again, it is for the Chargers.

The word is Tolver injured his knee last week, keeping him from the Redskins game. I know we needed the spot, I guess this keeps us from losing Tolver to another team if we were to try to get him to the practice squad.
http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/football/7344359.htmSam Simmons sustained a high ankle sprain -- far more significant than a normal sprain.
Zach Thomas, who sustained at least one concussion earlier in his career, said he will play Thursday at Dallas.
Wide receiver J.R. Tolver, who injured his knee last week, did not practice.
"[Bowens] practiced good and he's moving around well," said Wannstedt. "He's way ahead of schedule. It's encouraging. It's probably another week or two before he'd be [ready for] game speed, even though he thinks he is right now."
