I DIDN'T say anything negative about Wright...until someone called Tim Anderson into question...

And what was inaccurate about my assessment of Wright...he IS a fat man (he didn't run 4.7-4.8 at 329) , his work ethic HAS been questioned, and was NEVER a starter... (and he keeps failing out of school)

Why do you keep trying to call me things...I'm way to good.

For a 5th its a good pickup, because he has a shot at panning out. Obviously he isn't starter/star material yet or some other team would have taken him higher.
alright John Kerry

Whoo, I'm getting dizzy from all that spin.

WHAT SPIN? Nothing I said isn't a FACT about Wright...

Honestly, i don't care...discuss away finfans... I'm not going to argue about a supplemental fifth round project with you.

Tim Anderson was an amazing college STARTER...not a lackluster, lazy, fat a$s, backup.

He didn't play because he was behind Pat Williams, Sam Adams, and Ron Edwards...as a rookie.

Whattaya think Wright's number are going to look like this year?

Amazing college starter!!! :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3: He had a combined 5.5 sacks in two years as a starter! and screw who he was playing behind, a third round DT should contribute! Unless of course it was a lackluster pick.

Now Wright played only as a true freshman and sophmore and was behind tw starters who went 1st and 2nd round in the NFL draft. But still, his fat lazy *** made almost just as many plays as a backup as your "amazing" college star did as a starter. And he was only a SOPHMORE!!

we also didn't sepnd the last two days crapping on him about his workout. Whos the hypocrite?

Nobody wanted to give a 1st-3rd round pick for him (He is going to be a project, but a project with alot of upside), but some of these same people were also saying that they hoped Miami could get him with a 4th, instead Miami got him with our lower 5th round pick.

Maybe some were crapping on him pretty bad, but most here were just afraid to give up a 1st day draft pick for someone that will take a little time to maybe reach his potential.

Good news. Not a 6th like I wanted, but a 5th will do. Just so glad we didn't overbid.

No we wouldn't we have Anderson. We're not desperate at DT.

:roflmao: Yikes!!! Do you even believe yourself?

I think we got the extra 5th rounder during the draft...didn't we move back in one of the later rounds? I think we got one in that deal.

EDIT: Never mind...Brad Bedell? How did we swindle a 5th rounder for him? The Jets just paid a seventh for Pete Hunter from the Cowboys...at least I've heard of him before.

Well, no real risk then by using a fifth rounder. Especially since we have, or had, two in 2006? Was the second one awarded for losing free agents?

I doubt how much he can help this season, but a good "project player" and you can always hope he surprises and does well when on the field. He has at every level of football so far. Some guys are just gamers when on the field, despite poor workouts or practices.

Tim Anderson was a 3 year starter at OSU, helped lead them to a national championship....

He wasn't a pass rusher genius he clogged the middle. DT's don't sack the QB, but you mustn't watch must football, or you'ed know that.
