When i read that wright had a poor training i thought about a crazy possibility: Saban asking him to gain weight and have a crapy training so we would have to spend a low pick on him, promising he would earn the same contract no matter what pick we spent :D
I know it`s crazy, though i can`t stop thinking at this

Edwards will be the starter, you remember him don't you? (think fins @ bills, battle of the winless teams)

Why bother saying dumb **** like that? You know that Wright won't have much impact this season...it makes you look bad.

Just to play along w/ you. That's why there were reports that the fins brass walked out before the work out was over, you know, to add emphasis on the devious scheme.....

I think this is a mistake; we have an extra conditional 7th round pick from the Brad Bedell trade (I think!).

It was a conditional pick. However, I dont know how they determine if its a 5th, 6th or 7th.
 
Question:

Everyone keeps saying that we got Wright with the lower of our 2 5th round picks.....how do we know that? The pick may have been the lower one based on last years results, but the pick we forfeit will be in the 2006 draft. We have no idea where our natural 5th round or where the 5th round pick we got from the Packers will be.

Usually some benchmark, most likely starts with a tackle. Remember in the Ricky trade his big year cost us extra draft position.
