Actually had it mocked that we would have Z. Martin and another rookie (Guard position) on the line.

LT - Albert
LG - Rookie (Brandon Thomas)?
C - Pouncey
RG - FA
RT - Rookie (Z. Martin)?

Not saying it won’t happen, but I would be shocked. The last two years Philbin hasn't seemed to like to rely on rookies and Miami has too much money and too many good options out there that won’t break the bank. You have to remember that Hickey has stated he drafts BPA, so my guess is he would like to have the holes plugged before the draft arrives then if the BPA competes and wins a starting spot so be it, but by filling the holes in FA you are in a position to draft BPA.
 
Not sure hw I feel about getting anyone from the jets other than Mangold.

Yesterday, a few friends and myself re-watched the last Jets game. One mentioned that the Jets had a worse RT than Martin. We replayed some of what he did, and all agreed. Anyone wanting him or thinking he is average, watch the game.
 
If we got both OT spots locked up in free agency it would make the draft unpredictable from a selection/position stand point. We could actually go BPA 1st round and take a guard or two later. Brandon Thomas, Joel Bitonio, Trai Turner and Michael Scholfield are all guys that could fit and be had in the 3rd round or later and all but Turner offer some versatility to play Guard or Tackle.
 
2 draft picks starting is the minimum at this point.. Albert won't make it the full year healthy and Howard is not that good...
 
i like the idea that we may be driving the prices up on guys like howard and byrd...i just hope we aren't seriously considering paying these guys...howard will never get to a lot of the move stuff we want to run in this offense...

really hoping the delmas stuff is just talk but i'm doubting it...

and i don't know why everyones saying zach martin at left guard he can play right tackle also...in fact i'd feel better plugging him at right tackle than left tackle right now anyways...left guard always an option as well...

The Jet fans like this guy. Everyone up here keeps talking about how he's a must to re-sign. So go get him.
