MERGED: Dolphins to make a push for Jets RT Austin Howard

that can't be, you had the worst OL in the history of the league.

No actually the o-line was awesome, those 50+ sacks were all because Tannehill, and the microscopic numbers in the run game, was all due to not having any RBs at all.

Yesterday, a few friends and myself re-watched the last Jets game. One mentioned that the Jets had a worse RT than Martin. We replayed some of what he did, and all agreed. Anyone wanting him or thinking he is average, watch the game.

he's a solid RT who has kept improving. I don't think one game will tell you too much. I don't think he deserves top shelf money but you can do a lot worse than him and we did w/ Wayne Hunter a few years ago.

Clearly junc hasn't read enough of shourights marvels lol

2 draft picks starting is the minimum at this point.. Albert won't make it the full year healthy and Howard is not that good...

Well your Cheerios are oft pissed in.

Jet preparing to lose Howard, Dolphins target Howard

In our opinion, there aren’t enough people talking about the Jets' needs on the offensive line. They should be looking for a guard or right tackle in free agency. Though Austin Howard played well at RT, he is getting interest around the league. Teams know about him now, and the word we’re hearing is that he’s a target for several teams, so the Jets need to be prepared to fill that spot. But the options are limited when you consider the age and production of the players available.

According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins are now targeting Howard and are interested in signing him.

Howard is believed to be asking for $7 million a year & the Jets do not want to pay him that amount of money.

We sure as hell better not pay him any more than half that to play RT!
