MERGED: Dolphins to make a push for Jets RT Austin Howard

Pay the man. He is a beast!!!! Well worth it. The Fins have 2 quality o-linemen on their roster. Pouncey and now Albert. Can't go on the cheap otherwise it will be the same mess as last year. Howard at $7 mill is fair for a quality Right Tackle. Now go find 1 guard. And maybe Brenner as the other guard and the starting o-line is set
 
There will be more then one OL signed after Albert. Howard is a good player. dont worry about the dollars. we need to keep adding quality players on the OL to make the playoffs next year.
 
$7m would be a disaster....half that is what I think his market value should be. Think Strief would be great and I can't see him getting much more than $5.5m.
 
In 4 games against Mario Williams he hasn't allowed a sack. In 4 games against Miami Mario had 4 sacks.

Williams is a good pass rusher, it's not a knock to say he got a few sacks against you. 1 per game isn't a crazy #. if the QB doesn't throw an INT for TD, an INt in the RZ and lead your O to ZERO pts last year maybe you win one of those games?

maybe if the oline didn't allow 58 sacks??? seeing as how the qb came back from the pick 6 and int in the RZ???

I think we are going to see a bunch of stupid looking contracts this offseason. Salary cap # is going way up. FA signings maybe should be looked on as rookie picks, in that we can't judge them for a few years out in the aspect of salary only (not if they suck, we can judge away then).

how is it a brutal pick six, when miami was leading the game after the fact? lol it was the piss poor oline that cost miami the game, after all was said and done. i mean, had the oline held their ground, and miami won, people would be praising tannehill for the game, despite the negatives. but because the oline sucks donkey balls, it's tannehills fault. got it.
