MERGED: Dustin Keller Injury Thread

I am all for hoping for the best but man watching that replay if Keller escapes injury here he can definitely play Gumby as his next job!
 
I guess its a natural reaction to blame the opposing player when there is an injury it is so unfortunate but we will find a way to get through this, have faith !

No really it wasn't a solid football play it was a dirty ass, low blow, cheap shot by a kid that has a rep for them through college! He proved my point by his classless celebration while Keller was on the ground! I freaking preseason game is a scrimmage nothing more and coaches and players have a understanding you don't go out there lighting guys up, crack back blocks, chop blocks and blasting through a players knees. There is absolutely no reason he couldn't have stuck a shoulder to Kellers torso and knocked him down. Keller was back to him defenseless catching a pass. Lastly when a joint gives way like that the audible sound is chilling and even with all the commotion on te field you hear it and you can damn well believe that thug heard it! Yet he still celebrated? That's how this kid wants to come into the league then he is bound to have a eye opening rude awakening someone is going to crack back on him and roll his legs!
 
THUG lol, and how much of his college have you really watched. preseason is a time where you make an impression to your coaches and peers, as he came in to make the hit he hit him high in the thigh and when his foot came down to plant is where the damage seemed to occur. the play by play nor the reaction outside of this forum doesnt imply the "thug like dirty play " you are implying............take a deep breath, that kind of ****s gonna happen when your qb leads you blindly into the middle of the field. i was hoping for big things this year from keller but the football god decided otherwise. we will regroup all is not lost !!!!!

I don't think it is natural. The way he hit him does draw some suspicion. But I think this was unfortunate, nothing more.

Forget the scrapheap and being ripped off in a trade for a number 3 te, send Sims and Egnew out next week with the starters and see what they have got

Laughable absolutely hilarious! Football gods keep up the good work man! Yeah he is a ****ing thug and his post cheap shot celebration proves it! I guarantee blowing up a players knew in the preseason on a dirtbag hit is not the impression you want to have with any player or coach. There is plenty of reaction outside this forum and the vast majority is calling it cheap. There is such a thing as a avoidable injury and that was most certainly one. Notice a seasoned vet Clabo go right to him and get in his ear while he was celebrating? He sure wasn't telling him good hit! You either did not watch the game, the replay, or the YouTube link posted! RT placed the ball on Kellers back shoulder he most certainly did not lead him if he had it would have lead Keller face first into the cheap shot thug. But please keep entertaining us with your expert analogy and reference to the football Gods will.

One last thing if that had been one of our players making the hit And celebrating i would be just as hard on them calling cheap shot thugs! Dirty football is dirty football doesn't matter what logo is on your helmet!
 
It is official, Keller out for season as per Bleacher Report. Damn it!! He was looking good, we need to get someone off waivers now.
