MERGED: Dustin Keller Injury Thread

Blaming Tannehill is the worst thing to do....thats just throwing your QB under the bus. Plenty of QB's throw terrible passes to their guys in tight spaces, no one expect some guy to slam into the guys knee. Swearinger had so many option to bring Keller down, you don't just throw your helmet into people's knees.

I'm not blaming Tannehill. I'm not blaming anyone, including Swearinger. Just because something bad happened doesn't mean someone's at fault. Resist the temptation to give into that, because it's cheap and easy.

I only bring up Tannehill to show that once you start blaming people, then he's got to be in the list, because his throw "contributed." If you're reluctant to blame him that's just more proof that you're rationalizing and specifically directing your anger because it's a ****ty situation and you want someone to blame.

Game, set, match. Walrus.

Problem is, like I've read elsewhere- when you leave your starters in to play against guys that are trying to make their team they will be going all out looking for big hits. Whats the point playing our 1's vs their 2/3's; just to build confidence? I didn't see any point in having them in there. Our Defense was done and so should have our offense.

I disagree, reason why our D was out is because they weren't the problem last year. If anything at this point D is the strength of this team. Our offense, however, still needs work. Philbin obviously felt like they needed these reps to get ready for the season. One of our problems last year was the fact that we started slow. I have no problem with playing our starters as long as it takes. Injuries happen all the time, guys get hurt jogging in OTAs

I don't see this team reaching the playoffs now. This is a real ****ty situation for Keller, on that 1 year deal...man this really sucks, loss for words.

Most of our starters on defense are seasoned vets. Most of our starters on offense are raw and unproven in their given roles. It's pretty obvious to see the difference.

The only thing that gives me pause is we could have had most of the first time out there while Keller, practically our most veteran player, didn't need any more time. But you bet your bet that Miller, Thomas, Tannehill, Martin, etc. need more development.

So how long will Keller be out?

If one guy other than the QB changes the dynamic of this team, then we weren't a very good team to begin with.

This was near end of half, we had already started slow again. Cant change starting slow after you already have. We finally put together a solid drive where we got Wallace involved and had a good taste in our mouths. Seemed like a fitting time to be done for the night, in my opinion.

The decision was made prior to the game how many plays the starters would get. You stating this now does not make it the correct decision.

The experts on here disagree as they know exactly when injuries happen.
