Wow I really can't believe people are getting this upset over mini-camp! If it was training camp that would be overboard! But nothing really happens in mini-camp worth making note on anyway! It's training camp that you get an idea oh things that will effect the season! The only thing that happens in mini-camp that will effect the season is an injury that will be reported anyway! People just need to calm down and just be happy that for the first time in a long time things WILL be different now that we have a new coach! Weather its for the better of the team we will have to wait and see, but it will be different! Let's just enjoy the ride for now!

lol Yea well I can't see him banning training camp! That would just be foolish! If he does I'll eat my words, take my punishment and never post here again!
 
So you want wanny back huh? This cutting off all the info is what the Pats do........Belechick is now god. Dont you want Saban to be god too?

Quite frankly, I think reports from those who report at the camps are basically useless. Nothing real ever comes of it in an aggregate sense. If we are going to build a new style defense and have new ideas that will surprise teams, it wont happen if everyone in creation reports about what we are doing.........teams are watching us, and that may turn you on in some way, but it wont get us W's.

God is a bit of a strech but if what he does makes him as successful as Belichik has been in NE! I'll take it! :D

Look infins, Im not gonna start something with you. I respect your thoughts and this thread. I can understand your frustration cus you go to these things and report for us yadda yadda yadda.........But this is what will take away the advantage that we have this year.

I like Saban's disdain for the media cus the media will only act in its own best interest which is against the Miami Dolphins best interest. That is all that i will say at this point. I like everything that Saban is doing and saying. It is night and day from what we had. All I know is that the New England Pats play together as a team and this is what they do to bring that team atmosphere. I think this is genius and I also think that Belechick is crapping his pants.
 
When Saban initially restricted the press, many here rejoiced and saw it as Saban taking action against the press in retaliation for some past act. Actually, many in the press probably saw it that way also.

Now that fans are being restricted directly the first impulse is to see it as an act against the fans.

I'm mostly talking out my a**, but maybe Saban is taking action against players that would sulk and cry to the press and fans after they didn't get what they wanted from Wanny. Hopefully he is being heavy handed early in restricting their exposure and "facetime" in order to send the message to players that they need to shift their focus to the team and winning instead of getting applause from the crowd and nice press clippings. And maybe that's a stretch.

In either case, I hope he lightens up later on.

You could always go to the facility and park in a higher floor of te garage to watch mini camp... just a thought

The Wanny crack was unneccesary and a gross exagerration...that's all.

We all want what's best for the team and if these things turn out for the better more power to Saban, however, if we don't get a better team, it's these things that are going to be his downfall.

he can alienate the fans to his hearts content but....He better win.

great post, I also hope that this crackdown is a somewhat temporary thing and as he learns he'll make adjustments....
 
The reporters are upset because they now have to work , I mean be smart and dont fall into this trap (looks like a DW trap), I mean WE HAVE ACCESS to one minicamp and the whole training Camp. The ones that were kicked out were the reporters, let them be mad or whatever.
