Merged:Fans banned from mini-camps/I called it,Saban doesn't care what the fans think

For those of you who are familiar with the Dolphins training facility, it has a large parking garage. You can see the entire field from the 4TH level{in the shade no less}. If Saban isn't going to let us inside, and sit in the stands, the only thing I have to say is....

Sorry Nick, you'll have to do better than that!!...

After the first time he looks up..... parking garage closed! I said it here first.
 
I will miss mini camp reports, but I'll learn to live with it I guess.

It they are closing mini-camp and fans can't go, what makes you think they won't close the garage also? If fans can't go then there is no reason to have the garage open!
 
I don't think he can close the garage. The students who attend school, have to park there as well. I highly doubt Saban can, or will keep us from watching.

Personally, I'm pissed. Who the hell does Saban think he is???....

His whole approach concerning the media / fans has sucked thus far IMO. Things are going to have to change if he plans on having any friends down here....

wow. if we were one-tenth as concerned about our rights as citizens as we are about our rights as football fans, we'd live in a better place.

I too think that Nick is doing things properly. Players looked like fools last year opening their mouths when things were down. With an entirely new system on offense and defense Nick is putting in place a opportunity for players to concentrate on learning and practising the system without distractions

Nick is not hired for fans to please fans. He's hired to restore the pride of dolphin nation and turn this franchise into a consistent contender.
I for one dont care how he does it. yes it makes for a long offseason.. but heck... there have been plenty of good speculative debates this offseason....so you see.. we always find something to talk about.:cooldude:

You are right, things will have to change, and that change will be when the Phins start ripping off win after win, then all this namby pamby nonsense will be forgotten and St. Nick will get plenty of love here at FH!
 
some of you are being rediculous. Mini Camp means nothing!!!
It's a bunch of guys who won't even make it to Training Camp. It's just practice.

No Pads, no pressure, NOTHING!!!

Both the Pats and the Eagles have the media and the fans banned from mini camp, and look where they are.

If it was TC I understand being upset, but your getting upset about something unimportant
 
Mini-Camp is nothing major, but it's still considered the first chance for local fans to come out and see the new faces, in a practice environment....

I'm not going to cry over it, but it is something I look forward to every year...

Those who dont care are those who dont purchase season tickets. Those who pony up a lot of money to purchase season tickets are the ones that care. Its that simple. As a fan who pays to go to games, a season ticket holder, this is wrong and as far as I am concerned Saban does not walk on water, he makers mistakes, and he just made one.
 
Goldberg said on 560 wqam that two camps were open? A rookie minicamp the weekend after the draft, and the Vet mini-camp in June. Does anyone else know awhether we can really get into the rookie one? I hope he's right....but, I also know that reporters have been granted more access (why would that be?) to the mini-camps then the general public. So he may have been reading off of the press info and not the general public info.
