MERGED: Feeling around the league is, Dolphins will draft Terrell Pryor

I imagine no one wanted Michael Vick to sign here and that includes me bc he was coming out of prison and was not accurate to start with. Drafting Prior seems like a move a Philly or a NE will make and they will turn him around and trade him in the future. If Miami gets him for a 5th or something then all you will hear from the experts was that it is prob a waste. If NE gets him for a 5th it is bc they are smarter then everyone else.

His athleticism alone makes him worthy of a 5th round pick IMO.

They are smarter than us. They make quarterbacks who have no business throwing a football in this league look great. We don't have the coaches they got to develop QB's like they do.

The fact these idiots in our front office actually see this guy as a QB tells us all we need to know. Bunch of damn clowns running this team.

The Raiders reportedly have supplemental draft prospect Terrelle Pryor graded high "in just about every category except as quarterback."

They view Pryor as possessing "outstanding athletic talent," which is hardly a surprise after he clocked a 4.38 forty at 6'5" and 232 pounds. Owner Al Davis may draft Pryor with the intention of developing him as a Jermichael Finley-type mismatch at tight end. Pryor was reportedly in Pittsburgh Sunday visiting the Steelers. per rotoworld.

McAdoo is the real sleeper of this draft in my opinion. I like King, being a Georgia grad, but I think McAdoo is skilled enough to develop into a olb. The only player to be drafted will likely be Pryor. The other guys will sign as free agents.

If we draft this kid, it will be our excuse not to draft a again QB next year. I really hope they dont draft him as a QB.

Opposite to most, I actually like the idea. for the right compensation of course (5th or less)
Why?
Easy, Pryor will be suspended for 5 weeks this year, so pretty much this year will be about getting acclimated to being a pro, learning the play book and all that good stuff. Plus, when was the last time a 3rd (emergency) QB made an impact on any team?? Thiggy anyone?
So in reality, he will not make an impact until next year, and if you can grab a player regardless of position with his athleticism and frame you would take him. So you have to regard him as low draft pick from next years class that is already soaking up some tips on a professional level.
Now when you weight the possibilities, things can go one of three ways:
1- He bombs... absolutely sucks... So we cut him and move on. There are no strings attached, no major contract, no high pick.. No Risk, cut him and move on (a la Pat White)
2- He's a pro, but not a starter. This is the most reasonable, I think of him as a more athletic Brad Smith, some one who can bring a little spice to the O but is not to be counted on to lead to the promised land.
3- He's Great... Who knows, some people are high on the kid. I'm no expert, but from what I have read there is some people out there that like him better than Cam Newton. As a disclaimer, I don't see this as the most likely option for him.
I'm just saying, picking this kid has some intrigue and I'm willing to give it a go, again, at the right compensation.
*Another option is that the kid is athletic enough to maybe switch positions and be a successful TE or WR.
