Merged: FinHeaven Poll: When did you attend your first Phins game?

84 Orange Bowl....Playoff game Against Seattle....Miami won 31-10.....my brother took me...and I was 14....and I knew I found heaven.

1977 vs Seattle---31-13 Fins...The Orange Bowl was actually empty for once. Maybe that's why my dad got good tickets so easily.

That was not last year but that did happen two years ago. That too was my first game and that was when everyone really passionately hated Wanny. We went 10-6 that year anyways but that was the most grueling game I have ever seen. The game that I really fell in love with the Dolphins was their win against th Broncos about three years ago. It was a spectacular game in mile high and that was when Fiddler broke his thumb and that bum came in as his back up. Lucas I think. Anyways I am a Dolphin forever!

2 years, my bad, felt like last year. Loved Miami beach.

It was 1976, I believe it was a preseason game at the New Meadowlands against the Giants. Jim Mandrich was a good friend of my dads friend. He took me to the game and I got to wear his ring (Yes the superbowl ring!!!!!). I have his signed picture autograph hanging still to this day over my computer desk!

1989 Indy vs. Miami. I can't remember the score but I remember that it wasn't close.

1996 @ Oakland. We lost but watching Marino for the first time in person was great. My second game was in 98 @ Carolina. I haven't been to a third game. :(

I WAS AT THAT GAME TOO!!!!!!!

But they're right, it was two years ago. Wanny got boo'd bigtime cuz he ran the clock out after we got the ball back with about a minute to go. He got boo'd for playing for overtime.

That was Brian Griese's last game as a Starter for the Phins.

My first game was Miami VS Seattle, 2002?? or 03. Being in the Pacific Northwest and growing up in Boise, IDaho i never had a chance to see the Phins until then. I saw them again last year and had a blast. Hope they visit Seattle again soon!

i was in the navy in key west a friend of mine and i went to this game he was a jets fan and as long as i live i will never forget this game duper caught that ball right in front of us it was so loud it was ahsome even my friend was chreeing.

I don't remember exactly. It was '85 or '86 vs. the Jets. I think it was at night, or at least ended when the sun had set.
All I remember is my dad making us leave early because he thought there was going to be a fight right by us (he was right, as usual).
It was in the Orange Bowl. We were walking down, but could see the field through some gaps. It was very close to the end of the game, and Marino hit Duper on a bomb.
I swear that old stadium was shaking like a quake hit it.
this game. sorry

Around 1969 in the Orange Bowl with my parents. I believe it was against the Jets. After that they took me to most of the games between 1970-1972. Since 1977 I have missed no more than 4 home games.

Against Cleveland in the playoffs, 1972.

Sat in the west endzone, nosebleed seats. It pissed down rain the whole game, and I loved every minute of it.

That was the most nerve wracking game in franchise history, IMO. We would have been a semi-laughingstock with a home loss after going unbeaten. Especially to QB Mike Phipps, who Cleveland obtained via the #1 from the Warfield trade. I was probably older than you, at 12, and I felt all the tension more than any joy of being there. Plus it was such a dreary day with the overcast sky and persistent light rain. Cleveland seemed to drag us down to their level. We only made a couple of plays, Tim Foley blocking a punt for a TD and especially Morrall hitting Warfield for a huge gain when we trailed 14-13 in the middle of the 4th quarter.

I think my first game was in '67. But the first one I remember specifically was the '68 finale. We hosted the Jets and Dolphin fans were upbeat. We had blasted the Patriots twice in the previous month. Early in the game we had a chance to take the lead but a backup kicker bonked a 10 yard FG off the upright. The goalposts were on the goal line at that point. We got smashed by the Jets, 31-7. A month later I attended the Jets/Colts Super Bowl on the same field so it wasn't exactly shocking to see the Jets win big again.

Not bad timing or handicapping: my dad bought season tickets for our family beginning in 1972.

I barely remember my first game... too young... but I remember my second game...

It was vs. the Falcons of Vick's rookie year. We injured Chris Chandler (their starting QB at the time). So they brought in Vick. Man, Wanny was yelling at they guy who injured Chandler... prob because Vick was comming in. Vick did pretty freakin well against us. The Falcons actually won the game on a goalline Vick QB sneek up the middle... but the refs ruled it no TD... and we got the win instead!
