Minor might work his way onto the roster if Ronnie isn't signed only to get cut loose after week 5 at latest (when at least one of Ronnie and Ricky would be on the team).

jimmy, I hear what you are saying, but I think it's time for the Dolphins to move on without Minor.
 
I'm not arguing that point at all. There is no need for Travis Minor except as a warm body to be used at the end of the depth chart for RB.

You are probably right about that until week 5. I had hope for Minor before last year, but after watching last year with some of his decisions he made, he is only a warm body at this point. I wish him the best.

Ya never know, but I truly believe Brown will be signed. I think he and his agent want to get in there and tear it up before RW returns. Logics - you can show more in 4 games then you can in 1, 2 or 3 before "High & Confused" comes back.
 
This I actually came across this this thought the other day. There is a pretty realistic chance that Lamar Gordon could very well be the starting RB for us opening day against Denver. He's been looking really sharp in Training Camp and definitely will have a HUGE advantage is we are not able to sign Ronnie Brown until ridiculously late. If we can't sign Ronnie until Alex Smith signs with SF, that can be a problem if it takes a LONG time for Alex Smith to sign with San Fran. I'm not predicting Lamar Gordon will be starting opening day for us by no means whatsoever, but I'm not ruling it out as a possiblity. I honestly think Alex Smith will sign with SF during the middle of Training Camp at the latest and Ronnie Brown will be in Training Camp for us and that he will be the starter for us come, opening day. That is my prediction, but I'm not ruling out the possiblity of Gordon. And "CCMiamiDolphins", I'm sorry to hear you were accused of being Lamar Gordon's mom. :lol:
 
I feel that it will be Lamar Gordon. I really would like it to be Ronnie Brown but I think the combination of him being a rookie learning the offense and possibly reporting to training camp late based on getting his deal signed. I dont feel that Gordon will start for long but have the utmost confidence in any of the three or even Kay Jay Harris all and all we will be ok with the run.

I think Saban will end up trading Gordon, and it will be Brown,Harris and Morris splitting time in the back field. With Brown getting as much as he can handle.

I also think Saban will trade some others, like D Bowens(4th or 5th or cut to pay for Schulters) and Zoiniga(5th-7th) and hopefully a 4th for Gordon
