Look, I was pissed when JT left for the Jets too. ****ty move on his part. But that's over and he's a Dolphin again whether u like it or not. We needed depth at OLB and that's what he brings. Don't even try to argue that Q.Moses or I.Alama-Francis are a better option cuz ur kidding yourself. He will be a situational pass rusher, like he was last year in NY. Pair him (5 sacks last year) and Misi (5 sacks last year) up last year and it's a respectable pass rush coming opposite Cam Wake. Not to mention K. Burnett (6 sacks) at MLB. Overall, it's a good move by us and I know you'd all be pissed if New England signed him.
I am very surprised about how ppl have reacted to this signing...
Dolphin sack leaders from last season:
Cameron Wake - 14.0 sacks
Koa Misi - 4.5 sacks
Karlos Dansby - 3.0 sacks
Randy Starks - 3.0 sacks
At this point, I would welcome any player that could provide us with 5+ sacks a season.
The way he left Miami was a total disgrace, the fact that we'd even welcome him back shows how much of a joke this organization is.
He was excellent against the run for us, he was non existant as a pass rusher which is what we signed him for. 5 sacks looks ok but he beat a FB on Sunday Nigth against you guys and had a bunch, sacked Brady and forced a fumble in garbage time of a 2 TD win over the Pats in week 2, had garbage time sack of Favre in 9 pt win over Minny, had sack in meaningless game vs. Buf in week 17. The other sack he had was at a crucial time but it was basically colt McCoy taking the snap from his EZ and running to keep the clokc moving and make sure he got out of the EZ, Jason did nothing unusal on that play. He did nothing for us as a pass rusher but again he was excellent against the run.
You welcomed back Ricky and he quit on the dolphins.
