MERGED: Jason Taylor returning to the Dolphins for third stint

To everyone who is all pissed off about this, you do realize that just because we signed him does not mean he will make the 53 man roster... And if he does, he is a vocal leader in the locker room, has a wealth of knowledge to pass down to the younger players, know the Jets D system. If he is making the vet minimum this is a smart move. And for those saying go get Osi... the Giants want a 1 or a 2, you're on crack.
 
Why not Antwan Odom? At least there would be an outside chance he returned to form. A form that was dominant.

These people who are saying JT was the only pass rusher left to sign are nuts.
 
Why are people pissed? Because they are holding some kind of ridiculous vendetta? He'll come cheap and our LB crew is better off. He's a heady player. Remember what Dansby said we lost when we released Crowder? Well, we got that back.
 
I in now way see this as a bad signing. the #'s speak for themselves..He would have been SECOND in sacks on our team last year. He's played here before and will fit right in. And he is a stand up guy. I'd love to see how some of you goof balls would react to your company if you knew they didn't want you back. We should welcome in here with open arms and expect it to be a "'good" pickup not great but good.

The only thing Jason Taylor vocally brings to the table is bull****, the bull**** that comes out of his mouth. How much he hates the Jets and their fans, how obnoxious they are, for 13 years we hear this and then he signs with them. He's a hypocrite. Ricky quit on this team because he lost passion for the game, because he hated being told what to do, and because he had serious mental issues. Jason Taylor never had passion for the game, he had passion for becoming an entertainment icon, so he bolted to New York, the enemy, a MORTAL sin. I will never forgive him for that.

Can someone explain to me why Taylor is viewed as classless for signing with the Jets after being released by the Dolphins, yet the same fans want Braylon Edwards, a Jet free agent, to sign with Miami?
 
I wish Finheaven went back a year so I can pull up the thread when JT signed with the Jets, there would be a lot of double talkers in here. I think it's a good signing.
 
Welcome back JT! ALot of you don't make any sense. You all wanted Ricky back when he quit to go smoke pot and you still want him back when he trashes are head coach! JT beef was with Parcells who is as overrated as they come. Parcells basically stole from this organization and when JT told Parcells to discuss contract negotiations with his agent Parcells got sensitive. You want to be where your wanted. Parcells is gone... JT is back end of story... deal with it.
