MERGED: Jason Taylor returning to the Dolphins for third stint

I'm sure the contract is minimum . . . but he still can rush the passer and we only need him situationally. He brings leadership and passion on the field as well. Once again, I'm not hating the move. We have tried Anderson, Moses and a bunch of other guys who have one good game and do squat the rest of the year . . . JT will be more consistent in less time . . . plus the fans will love him again. It isn't a bad move.

Wow. Dolphin fans burning JT and Jets fans defending him. Ironic. This is a "What have you done for me lately" league. 12 yrs of Dolphin legacy vs. 1 year of Washington limbo and 1 year on the Darkside. I don't think the 1 yr cancels out what JT has done for the Dolphins. NY fans must laugh at our obsession with their team when we count 1 year as a NY Jet to be more important and carry more weight in our thinking than 12 years as a Dolphin. You guys act like you've been married to JT and he cheated on you. This after you told him you were going to the draft to see if there was a prettier girl available and, if not, then you might come back to her. No wonder she slept with your sworn enemy.

JT has always given the Phins 100 percent, big deal the guy left, because he didn't kiss the Tuna's butt, he's back now and I'm happy to have the guy back wearing aqua and orange. Him and Bryan Cox will do a great job with our young players.

He's still good enough to get some sacks, and its not like we're going to give him a huge contract. He can contribute, doesn't cost a lot, isn't a liability while on the field, and is still favorite to a lot of Dolphin fans...I don't see the problem.

I'm happy about it. I don't care that he went to the Jets last year. I don't recall them winning the SuperBowl so it's not that big of a deal to me. I care about everything else that he's done for us in years past. 12 great years... and now we can make it 13. Welcome back JT!

It's pretty pathetic the reaction on re-signing JT. I don't mind this at all. He will be a situational player at best and is good leadership in the locker room. You should all get off your high horses. Absolutely juvenile and sad.

I'm glad Marino did that. I'm sure he's happy about it, but it was probably also a calculated tweet on his part to win back over some of the fan base for Taylor.

Hmm maybe. But even if so its the right thing to do. We sit here and a lot of us want nothing to do with certain players we say football is a business and are willing to get rid of a few guys who love miami. Who bleed aqua and Orange. But when JT is shown the door and the Jets want him he is suppossed to retire? I just don get how that makes sense that we thinki he should be so loyal to us to not chase a championship. But yet we arent even interested in keeping a guy who basically is begging to stay here in Ronnie

Fans are just a little grumpy about the Jets move . . . first preseason game, if JT has a sack and he does his "post sack" celebration . . . the crowd won't be booing . . . trust me.

Personally, I love it. He wont play much, but will be a pass-rushing upgrade. When he's all done (most likely after this year) he will retire a Dolphin. The way it should be

i dont know what to say.

i guess he gives us a good situational player on defense, but obviously hes far from the JT from back in the day.

when the **** is this front office going to start getting us real impact players? i love this team to death, and i am always extremely optimistic going into the season, but this is just getting ridiculous.

JT might be a nice little player for us this season, etc, but we need ****in impact players, not washed up players. this front office will never learn/
