MERGED: John Clayton mentions Miami as possible destination for Knowshon Moreno

Well it's not like he would break the bank. He can pick up a blitz, and knows what an endzone feels like. Don't expect to see me complain if it happens.

Not my first choice but not my last choice either. Wouldnt be overjoyed if we signed him but there wouldnt be any reason to complain either. He is a good RB just didnt think that was the type of back we were looking for.

in the end its like you said nothing

As long as its not for over 2.5 mil a year I'm ok with it. Anymore then that then we really overpaid. Much rather draft a power back or sign Blount.

Even my brother here in Colorado calls him No Show Moreno....and he's a Bronco fan. Mehhh.

that would be a pretty dumb statement given the fact that your brother saw him play every week, which woudl mean he saw him putting up numbers every week, i know its his nick, but he sure deserves this one to be taken off after last year and the year before

I don't see how anyone could be mad when we upgrade a position. If he lands in Miami, he's better than the people already there. I can not complain about that.

If he comes here, I still think we draft an RB anyway

It ain't my money, but it is not money well spent. What exactly has he done that was worth while since he joined the league?

Last year pass protection by RBs were a major problem for the Phins. Moreno played as much as he did in Denver the last couple of years because Peyton wanted him there to protect him. That's good enough of an endorsement for me.

Miami already gets enough rain water...

No but seriously it wouldn't be that bad of a signing. I just wonder was he a product of Denver's system and more so Peyton's brilliance in getting that group in the right play each and every down. That'd be my only concern.

He is a good back but played against defenses defending the pass. He is very good pass catcher and blocker so thats good. He is injury prone except for last year.

I rather have Tre Mason. Who is going to make the first down on 3rd and 1 or 2 yards. Not Moreno or any other back we have. Mason is a durable stud that runs like Marshawn Lynch and I would take him over any FA back. Hes cheaper too. Take the money you save and find a FA OG or RT.

I'd be onboard for this. As a welcome change, unlike Jona, at least he cries when overwhelmed by a positive moment. :idk:

1,000 yards, 10 touchdowns, can catch passes, block, I'm all in. Easily trumps both LM and DT day 1.
