Merged: Lamar Gordon to Jacksonville?

Give Miami a 6th and they can have him.

I agree completely which is why the bills took the titans offer over the Jags plus we might be battling it out w/ the jags for the wild card spot.

Gordon however, does not bring anything to the table that would be a guaranteed improvement over what they already have which is my point.

Sammy Morris is a more proven back and brings more as a ST player. He would have more value than Gordon.

I think Lamar Gordon has more potential and he is younger than Morris, so I would say Gordon has more value in trade.

I would think a 4th or 5th rounder would be right depending who was trading for him.

In this case I can.

No one in their right mind (desperate or not)other than Spielman would give up a 3rd for a rb who's best year was 200+ yds. Gordon is just as proven as Toefield. Even their rookie from last year Greg Jones has 3 td's. That's 1 td more than Gordon had in his entire career. Why do you think Spielman is out of a GM job? I doubt he will ever get a GM job again.

I would rather give up a 5th for Morris before I give up a 5th for Gordon.Eddie George is still out there and he'd be a better pick-up than Gordon.

Gordon hasn't been given the opportunity. I've got news for you, if Henry had played for the Rams, he would have been 3rd string also. He is not as good as Faulk or Steven Jackson either.

It makes me sick that the Titans get a proven, tough runner in Travis Henry for a 3rd round pick while we gave up a 3rd rounder for Lamar Gordon who has potential but is not even close to being the player Travis Henry is. Thanks Spielman for yet another of your baffling trades in which we overpay for someone and then another team comes along and gets a much better player for a lower pick.

So if Henry is not that good then the titans should get Gordon for nothing and the fins should throw in Jason Taylor. :D

Gordon for Garrard....

ESPN's John Clayton has reported that the Jacksonville Jaguars may be interested in trading for the Dolphins' Lamar Gordon, now that Travis Henry is headed to the Titans. The Jags are desperate for another RB as insurance for the perenially-injured Fred Taylor.

Will the Dolphins pull the trigger on this deal in order to get a real talent in an area of need? The Jags might just be willing to offer highly-coveted QB David Garrard.

Would you be willig to give up Gordon for Garrard? I would.

I'd do that in a NY nano-second, but I highly highly doubt the Jags would send Gerrard for a 3rd string RB.

They'll probably offer like a 4th or 5th round pick at the most.

I would love to trade Gordon for Garrard because i feel that Garrard has the skills to be a starting QB. But the Jags would prob be asking more for Gordon because this offseason, they wanted a 1st rounder for Garrard. Wishful thinking, but i highly doubt it will happen.

idk maybe if we throw in a 5th they would take it maybe they would take it with out the 5th gordon is way better then 3rd string, i like the idea

But you have to look at it from the other team's point of view too. That would not be enough value for a good QB.

...and at this point, Lamar Gordon has to prove to me that he's better than a 3rd stringer.

More than glad to have David on board. Might not happen though, they just signed him to a long term deal, which was weird in itself when they have big Byron. Goes to show you they don't have that much faith in either Byron's health or skill, (I think its his health being that he can't get away from anybody) and it also shows that even for the young elite QB's the leash is short. Watch out AJ, your ride might be shorter then you think.

i know that garrard showed some promise when he was on the field, but i´m really tired of picking backups from other teams, what about a brand new start during the draft

 i would take that trade in a heartbeat but i seriously doubt that would happen.

Just a thought. Would if Gordan tears it up in preseason, would you trade him for a quality safety or interior D-lineman at the beginning of the season?
