Merged: Lamar Gordon to Jacksonville?

Wow! If we got a 4th, that would be awesome. With Ronnie and Ricky, we can do just fine having KJ and Sammy compete for #3.

Yeah, but injuries happen in the Preseason which can make positions VERY weak. A team like the Jaguars feel they can make a good run this year, but without a RB their chances decrease which could help with the trade. I am not saying it will happen, but there is always a possibilty it could.

I agree, you gave up a 3rd for Lamar. :rolleyes:

Keep dreaming if the jags will be desperate enough to give you guys a 3rd . It's not like Taylor quit to smoke pot. They'll probably offer you a 3rd for RW but not Lamar.
 
Wait didn't Jax just use a 2nd last year to draft Greg Jones? If so they must really think he isn't that good to be talking up a trade for a possible solid #2 back behind Taylor.

I agree -- that's what I was trying to say with the "fragile" remark.

They seem intent on making him a FB from what I have heard.

We need Gordon big time because if Ricky can't put his head together, then we have Gordon to back up Brown. If Both Ronnie and Ricky do good early, then we shall trade Gordon to them.

I think Greg Jones is being used as the starting FB and not a RB.
 
i wouldnt be surprised if its true cause they really wanted travis henry, i would love it if it happened and it would make our RB situation alot easier to deal with, we'd have ronnie ricky K.J. and Morris or minor

Oh ok, that seems kinda high for a FB for a team that uses a lot of Shotgun and Singleback sets, but I guess thats why I'm not a GM/Coach.

Anything is possible is all I was trying to say.
 
Gordon could be valuable this training camp. I would set my asking price of a 3rd rounder and wait and see. A 4th rounder is most likely under the current reimbursement scenarios for running backs. For some reason, they don't have much value anymore. In Linehan's system, Lamar might flourish during training camp and drive up his price a little more.
