Merged: Lamar Gordon to Jacksonville?

You missed Morris. He's the biggest reason I think this team can move Gordon. Morris, Gordon, or Harris won't make the active roster if Miami keeps all of these backs (Minor is done).

I hope gordan goes then that means ronnie will have to sign sooner.

Actually I didn't forget about Sammy Morris. He is more of an H-back. Can't rely on him if the Crap hits the fan. He will be needed at fullback with the loss of Konrad.

I think we can rely on him. What he did last year behind our joke of a line went completley unnoticed by about every fan in America aside from MIA and BUF fans. To garner out a 4.0 YPC behind tht line wuz very impressive.

He makes an excellent 3rd string HB if needed.

Plus we have Evans,Martin and Moa to take Konrads place.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the only guy that has proven anything in the NFL is Evans. Martin played one season with Dallas were he totaled 7 yards. Moa hasn't done anything period. Evans is the only one with experience. That leaves us with Morris to back him up at fullback.

Morris did do well behind an awful O-line. But, he only played about 12 games.

We only need 4 games before Ricky is back.

We really need full-time backup fullback? I don't see it.

Well I guess I'm still a bit paranoid about the previous seasons where our backfield was in serious trouble. Back in 99 when Ceicil Collins, Rob Konrad and J.J Johnson were all injured. We then had to turn to Stanly Pritchett as our starting tailback. We all know what happened last season. Konrad has never stayed healthy. So yes, I do think we should have a proven fullback. I guess I'd rather have too much than not enough.

We still do not know for sure how the R.W thing is going to turn out.

keep gordon. we need all that we can get. i really dont want to end up relying on kay jay harris when i would bet that he dont even make the team. keep gordon.

brown, williams, gordon, morris, evans that is our group and i would stick with that. if we keep another back keep minor. put kay jay on psquad.

thank you . . . a 3rd for Gordon is ludicrous . . . jax is OK at the RB spot for now . . .

YES, a 3rd is a reach, but if you think they're not out for a rb right now, you're kidding yourself... why were they so heavily in the Travis Henry stakes then???

3rd is a huge reach for them. There's no way we'd get that 3rd rounder back by moving Gordon. If we got a 5th, I'd probably take it, and a 4th without any hesitation at all. But they're obviously very interested in getting some help behind Fragile Freddie.

no its tru, but why would you take lamar gordon when you have the $$$ to spend on travis henry . I think we ought to cut gordon for cap room trade ricky and run w/ sammy( who earned a 2nd chance) ronnie& travis....Butt that's jist' me.

Because J-ville has Taylor as their starter and are looking for quality depth, not a full time starter. That is why I don't believe Henry would have agreed to that trade.

On nfl live, John Clayton just mentioned that the Jaguars might be looking to Lamar Gordon to add depth behind Fred Taylor. Has anyone heard anything about this or is it just some rumor he mentioned in passing?

Good fit for them. Only if we get something good though. He may yet pan out.

I believe the Dolphins play the Jags in the 2nd preseason game. If its going to happen I look for the Dolphins to showcase him in J-ville and then would expect a deal to come shortly thereafter.
