MERGED: Larry Johnson resigned!

Good laugh at all the people throwing Thomas under the bus so quickly when it turns out he's injured.
 
I'm more worried about run-BLOCKING than the RB .... that's where the rubber meets the road for YPC this year.
 
As a result of another great draft pick... I'm hoping Thomas pans out but this isn't the best way to start a career. I realize he's hurt but it's not like he was impressive during the preseason. Everything has been negative thus far.

Hoops thats the case with just about every GM in the league to some extent if someone is nick pickin enough. That is not accusing you or anyone of nickpicking or making excuses for Sporano and company. In terms of what I have seen on this team in the past this is the most talent we have had on both sides of the ball except curenty at runnng back, offensive line and perhaps QB in quite a very long time. Outside of Chad Pennington I not sure Henne doesn't measure up to any QB we have had here since Marino. Now the coaching side of things I would have had a hard time making a argument saying it has improved except on the defensive side of the ball but up to last year the defense looked kind of weak until really Nolan showed up. Good coaching can cover some faults Shula proved that.
My concern before throwing these guys out the door are we are going to taker 3 steps backward just in hopes of being able to take 1 step forward.
Lets face if JJ and Saban who were suppose to be saviors did not get it done and Dave W had the best record of the bunch but never built the team just rode what JJ built. Thats 12 years of going nowhere and sucking really bad 4 years ago in the Mueller years.

Cmon Dlockz that's harsh homie. Just bcuz we went 7-9 back to back doesn't mean its the end of the world. Nor does it mean Sparano is a bad coach. Nobody ever wants to mention the guy ended our 7 year playoff drought his FIRST year here. I was jumping for joy just like EVERY phin fan in 08. Two bad seasons later and everyone gives up on the guy. That ain't right. Love the dolphins but this guy took over a way below average team (1-15 flashback ouch) give him a break.

At the end of the day, that's exactly what a head coach is judged on. The real issue I have is that from the beginning, the strategy has been to use valuable resources to build a dominant o-line, with a head coach whose experience and expertise were specifically o-line, and our line is atrocious. With 3 1st round picks on it. It's the weakness of our offense.
