MERGED: Larry Johnson resigned!

I think it's a great move Larry Johnson got time off maybe that's what he needed to get great again.
 
When do we re-sign Will Allen now? ... just cut Culver imo

Bradshaw wouldn't go anywhere behind this line either. ANd isn't he the same type of RB as Bush?
 
I'm glad they were able to get him back after so many teams were blowing up his agent's phone to sign him. Only our front office truly knows how great LJ is!
 
resigned? don't you have to be an employee 'first' in order to resign? Or did we re-sign him? ;)
 
Here's my problem with this thread. Everyone keeps saying we should've kept ricky and ronnie! For what! Ricky talked iissh about sparano after last season AND said he has been waiting to be a free agent bcuz he has never been one. Why the f*** is everyone acting like ricky was standing around waiting for the dolphins to call? Ronnie said he wanted to come back but other than the wildcat the guy clearly lost his steps. Everyone knew he wasn't returning. I loved Ricky being a phin. He should've retired here no doubt. But He moved on and so did we. Its not like if Ricky and Ronnie were still here everyone could breathe a sigh of relief. Be serious. DT is hurt so the FO had to do something. We had to fix the problem at hand and resigning LJ was the best move for now. Why didn't we just bring in some other back that doesn't know the offense and hope he learns it before Monday? Damn front office what were u thinking.Go Phins!
 
Wow I love the signing, i didnt see why we released him. But some of yall are so extreme, this does not mean that they dont like thomas or not. Its more about improving our third string running back spot. Johnson is getting backup money to be a backup not a starter. Johnson still needs a lot of time to get his body ready, and this is a good opurtunity for him to get physically prepared for the NFL while sitting behind Thomas and Bush. If Thomas gets hurt we have someone with better potential to be effective than Lex.
 
i will admit i was shocked when lj was cut
i was assuming the dolphins would bring lj back after game 1
so his contract would be voided though they did the right thing..

LJ knows the plays
DT is hurt and doesn't have LJ instincts..

they need to bring will back
too many teams will pick on Nolan Carrol and Benny Sapp
I'm hopeful Will will be back after week 1
