I'm all for sucking for Luck but I hope we go 2-14 with those 2 wins being the Jets.

This is exacly backwards, they should wrap up the #1 slot and if that happens then they can kick the Jets in the jimmy week 17. Eyes on the prize.

well ya, if they have the 1 spot wrapped up by week 17, then obviously kick the jets ***.

However, if it came down to either beating the jets week 17 to make our final record 3-13 instead of 2-14 and missing out on luck, or losing to the jets and going 2-14, in a second 2-14 and lose to the jets.

Anyone that would trade a meaningless win over the Jets for a franchise QB is a complete moron and I don't care what you have to say about being a 'Phins fan'.

What would you call someone who thinks the #1 pick equals a franchise QB? Luck seems like the real thing, but nothing is for sure. I'll never root against my team for a shot at an unknown product.

We need to do whats best for this franchise. luck, although nothing in life is for sure, is almost as sure of a thing in ages in terms of prospects.

if the jets made the playoffs at the expense of beating us, fine. they will get knocked out anyway. no one will remember them making the playoffs unless they win the superbowl. they will just be 1 of 12 teams to make it like every year.

getting luck would make us contenders for years to come, just like when we had marino. imagine going into every game, just like with marino knowing we have a chance because we have the best qb.

that is why gb is so successful now, their d has some talent, but its not that great, they got no run game really, and aside from jennings and finley, they got a bunch of guys who look a lot better than they are. The one thing they have though that puts them at the top is aaron rodgers. andrew luck can be that for us, making average talent look much better then it is.

I want the Dolphins to win every game they play. They won't, which is fine. I'd only root for them to lose the rest of these games if you could snap your fingers and voila it's late April and the draft is on in 5 mins.

Otherwise April is so goddamn far away right now, I hate even thinking about having to wait 180 days until the draft is here (they'll prob **** it up anyway).

Rooting for your team has no bearing on how good or bad the team is. I personally think it has everything to do with how good or bad of a fan you are. Rooting for or against changes nothing in regards to wins and losses. What is going to happen will happen. It's what you cheer, encourage, and hope for. I will never hope and cheer for a loss.

Good for you, but we have done it your way for 20 years and gone nowhere. Time to quit screwing around and take our medicine so we actually have real hope next year. You like 7-9 every year? Not me.
