Im just wondering your thoughts on the situation,
Given the horrible circumstances Miami loses are what we are all rooting for which is an odd feeling, but Monday night against the Jets this dolphins fan will be rooting for a win. Living in New York listening to all the Jets talk all day everyday sticking them with there fourth straight defeat is what im praying for. I dont think any team will got winless this year so if this is are only win of the year ill be satisfied. Im on the Suck For Luck bandwagon but its going to be a rough trail to travel. So for Monday night against the Jets lets all band together, put some fire in are hearts and beat the crap out of those New Jersey Notyets (and then lose every other game of the year).
GO DOLPHINS and SUCK FOR LUCK

Speak for yourself. I am not, and never will hope for a Miami loss. Ever. For any reason!!!

I'm rooting for us. As much as I can understand the reasoning behind "Suck for Luck" and someone on here really sold me with the , "if we get Luck and a good coach we will be good for 10 - 12 years" it's still really early. Not saying I think this fins team will win but hoping for them to be the absolute worsed could be setting yourself up for a major dissapointment.

Sorry, I find it mind boggling you would ever ever want your team to lose just so you can get what you percieve as the fix all mend all. There is zero logic in that. None!!!

Actually its completely logical, you wanting a few meaningless wins just so we aren't the worst team is completely emotional. I'm not judging and will be rooting my *** of for the phins Monday night but if you can't see the logic in trading a few meaningless W's to get what may be the best player to ever play in the NFL then I don't know what to tell you.

You people that root against the Dolphins kill me. Rooting has NO baring on how the team actually does. Rooting for losses does not make you a better fan because you are looking towards the future. It makes you a bad fan. You can root for losses all you want, but that does not mean they will come and the Dolphins will get Luck. When I root for wins, I am not rooting for 6-10 or 7-9 mediocrity. I'm rooting for 12-4. Rooting for the Dolphins won't make that happen anymore than rooting against them will make them lose. It is what I want to happen, not what will happen. Since that is the case, it only makes sense to root for wins.

Anyone that can root for the Jets against the Dolphins is not a good fan. You people are like terrorist. Are there things about America that I don't like and don't agree with? Absolutely! But I'm not rooting for Al-Qaeda or guys like Timothy McVeigh. I'm proud to be an American, and I'm proud to be a Dolphins fan. That does not mean I am happy with how things are and that is not blind loyalty. It is believing things can get better without having to root against it.

If I was the owner of this site, I would remove any Mod that roots against the Dolphins. So called Fans can do what they want, but I think Mods should be held to a higher standard. Rooting for the Jets, Pats or Bills against the Dolphins is an unforgivable sin.

My examples may be a bit extreme, but I'm just tired of all this SFL crap.

You know the funniest thing about this rant?

I also heard how Reggie Bush was going to be "The best player to ever play football"!
I heard it over and over and over on this exact site!!!

I watched people talk about how we should trade everything we had, future first round picks and JT for the rights for Bush......how exactly did THAT turn out?

You know for a fact, without any doubt what-so-ever that Luck is going to be "The best player to ever play football"?

I honestly have to ask this. Have you actually ever seen him play? Ever? Or are you just going by what the consensus thinks?

Some thought Jamarcus Russell was going to be the best...that list goes on and on and on and on.....

Detroit has been employing the SFL stategy for many years now. May finally be paying off but no one here has patience for that. I know I don't. The Fins just need to win a few game and all this nonsence will stop.

I guarantee you they have not.

No team.. no player.. throw his own career under the bus, for some unproven draft pick.

Sorry.. especially in week 5. everything is done with purpose. They may sit starters to evaluate younger or less experienced players.

But never.. do they want to lose, and throw games that would cost them their livelihood. It's illogical.

Do you go into work telling everyone to **** off, then demand a raise?

I'm agreeing with you. Just saying even if this fictious strategy could be employeed it does not work.

That's because they didn't have a QB for many years and only now have a really good QB with some real talent. The Matt Millen experiment drafting WR's in the Top 10 every year is a no-win strategy for ANY organization, not just Detroit.

But the bottom line is Detroit always had sh*tty QB's. If we get Andrew Luck we expedite the process. So Detroit is a terrible example and not the building model to go by. The models to go by is when the Colts brought in Manning, the Broncos bringing in Elway, the Dolphins bringing in Marino, the Packers bringing in Rodgers, etc etc

Rodger was drafted around 20th and sit for three years. Are you willing to wait that long ?
Marino was drafted at #27 and came out slinging .
Elway could never win the big game until they got Terrell Davis.
Manning struggled his first few years untill they built a O line there.
The point being having a great qb is wonderful but you do not need the 1st pick in the draft to get one.

Right, you forgot to mention Brady who of course was the #1 overall.....and Brees

I have a little extra time. I am going to scour QB's picked one overall vs QB's picked in that same draft. Anybody else wanna take a guess on how this turns out?
