Sounds like he was a true hero :patriot:

God bless you and your family.

Sorry for your Loss and may GOD Bless you and your Family.

Fear not, regret not. You will see him again. He sounds like a good man. Live life the way he showed you in life with his own actions and one day when it is your turn to cross over he will be there to meet you at the door and give you a hand across.

Carpe Diem!

God bless your father, he must have been a great man/father/rolemodel. But he will never leave you, he will always be with you in your heart, and your his son, his legacy will live on in you. God Bless you and your family.

So sorry to hear that man....my family and I will pray for you.

I haven't been able to post much lately as my dad had been sick for a few months. We almost lost him 2 months ago and again 2 weeks ago.Last nite he left us and he died in my mom's arms.We knew the end was coming but is still so hard.I take some comfort that he's not in pain now.He lived his life the way he wanted to and he'd had been 90 in 2 weeks. My dad was the first person that ever talked to me about football and soccer too for that matter. He was born in Italy but grew up in NY...went to WW2 and got 2 bronze medals with the US army and then later was in the airforce....he was my hero.I still remember asking him when I was a kid who was the QB for the Dolphins and he said"Bob Greese"....I've been a dolphins fan ever since......he wasn't a fan of any particular team but he loved football. He thaught me how to be a good fan win or lose...he always told me not to be on time but rather.."be early"...he thaught me to be responsible for work(I've missed one day of work in the last 6 years(other than the few times this year when I had to be with him)...I'm glad and greatfull that he was and always will be my dad.I guess this is my little tribute to him. Thanks dad was everything you did for me and the good memories.I will always love you.Your son, Danny!!

my dad rules!!!!

truly sorry to hear about your dad, but i bet he was as proud of his son as you are of him. At times like this, we can put our differences apart, cuz we're all the same when you get down to it. hang tough guy,and thanks for sharing.
ps,as one member of patriot nation, i would be remiss if i didnt point out the class act i witnessed here from all of you in finheaven, your condolences for a bro that's hurting speaks volumes

Priorities do sober us...

As we have fun ribing each other and talking football, the realities in life do sober us. My sincere sympathies.

I want to thank everyone here for their support after my dad's death...

Just wanna take this chance to thank everyone of you for showing such support to me after my dad passed away on monday nite. You guys showed a lot of class and friednship in a very difficult time for me.Not only the dolphins fans but also fans from other teams..like one of them said, in the end we're all people here. Some of the letters were very touchy and I was crying as I read every single one of them.Amazing how people from all over the state, all over the country and even from the other side of the world took their time to try and make me feel a little better.I can not express how much it all meant to me and I can't not thank you guys enough.Finshaven has been like a second home to me ever since I joined and tho I haven't posted much lately due to the situation with my dad, I have been here everyday to get my info and you guys were just great.I specially felt better when some of you guys wrote things like"he's still here with you" and "he lives on you" and"you'll see him again".Once again, thanks to everyone for your support, your freidnship and your class.Grazie!!

Danny

I love you dad!!

sorry to hear that. my prayers are with u I recently lost my grandfather last year. It was during the dolphins bills game. It was so odd. He faded bak and forth with the game. as the fins did well he looked good as the bills did well he looked bad. at half time he lost his ability to follow the game but all he cared about was the game. we told him the fins were winning he passed a little into the 4th quarter. he asked to be buried with 3 things. 1 his replica rings from the 2 marlins world series, 2 a bible, and 3 a dolphins keychain in his pocket

We're all here for ya man, your part of our finheaven family
