That's just wrong, and I'm disappointed in you, NJFinsFan, for encouraging it. :tsk:

Fine, hate Ricky all you want. Wishing him injury is low-class. I don't even do that of hated rivals. But beyond that, what possible good would it do us?

Playing you all for fools Ricky is. Back for the love of the game and this team he his not. Thinks Shawn Kemp he is. Needing lots of money to pay for 10 more impregnated women he does. Only care about himself forever he will.

im sorry im a low class individual.

I, on the other hand, am the epitome of class, as I was telling your mother last night. :jk: :D

Yes, master Yoda. But wishing pain upon others is the closest door to The Dark Side. Pain leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to rooting for the Bills.

Would you not agree?

i respect your posts doc, even the low class thrown my way, i agree is deserved, it is a horrible statement... imo he is a scum, unprofessional, the epitome of low class if you will ( he being ricky ). would i really wish injury on a fins player, no. its just an exaggeration to show how bad i dont want to see him in a fins uni ever again, even if it is "beneficial" to the team. sorry if i offended you, or anyone else. i guess im in the minority, seeing like finfan id rather fail, than to the tune of 4-12, than win at all costs on the back of ricky williams and others

Without a doubt. From Huizenga on down - he needs to prove himself and, IMO, apologize. I remember comments by JT and Seth McKinney (who he singled out when quit). They're not going to easily forgive and forget.

Let's be real here fellas. The only apology that Ricky needs to give is to run for 150 yards in the first game. If he does that all will be forgiven. The only thing that matters in this game is what you do on sunday. And if the team wins or not. If the team would have won the superbowl last year then people would be saying that what ricky did was not that bad. But because the team won 4 games the concensus is that he's a bum. Although I think what he did was wrong, if he comes back and produces like he did before he left, I will quickly get amnesia. As will most of the players IMO. And for him having to prove himself to the staff, I don't think he'd have a problem doing that becasue no matter what he did last year ie' holistic medicine, yoga, tent sleeping, voodoo or whatever, he did not forget how to play football in a year.

its a shame we are going into one of the most exciting seasons that i can remember, with this division amongst our fans.

I know I've said it before, but this is why I'm not conflicted about Ricky:

I have a strong emotional attachment to the Dolphins. With very few exceptions (Dan Marino being one of them), I have very few strong emotional attachments to (or demands of) players. In this era of free agency, I don't think you can afford to. For instance, I think Chambers, McMichael and Taylor are great players, but I don't have a huge emotional identification with them as individuals. Zach Thomas is about the only current player I pin any personal devotion to right now. I still am in ecstasy when the team wins and in agony when the team loses. But as far as personal grudges or worship goes .. not so much.

So I don't feel the need to forgive Ricky or get an apology from him. If he helps the team win, I'll be glad. If he drags the team down, I'll be upset.

i know this has been said but to emphasize on it-->

LET THE TEAM DECIDE!!

We are miami dolphins fans, not miami dolphin qb, miami dolphin rb, miami dolphin k, fans. We are fans of the team, and if the team excepts rw, and you are a true fan you will except it to

thats a great way to look at it. i wish i could do that myself. i never even had an adoration for him, i just wont be able to get over what he did to us. it stems from how he did it. he is a human and its his right to do whatever he chooses. its the way he left and the reasons he left, and not the reasons which he is returning. all those combined are why i cant accept him, no matter how many 200 yard games his supporters claim he has left. its beating a dead horse, one thats been dead and beaten for 6 straight years, but the offseason sucks...

It's tough to get attatched to players anymore. Look at Surtain, loved the guy...now I wish him well but I'll never root for him again.

we dontknow how the team feels behind closed doors. but there is no way everyone is happy he is returning. im sure it doesnt exactly please ronnie regardless of the public front they all put up. if the team is willing to accept him back, maybe the leadership on our team isnt as strong as it should be...

Hey Clayton you should seek medical attention.
It's a game and the game is played with people that have problems ,we all knew of Ricky mental condition and wish for the best for him, I guess Mcmichael's little indiscretion as in beating the crap out of his wife does not bother you because he shows up for camp.
Maybe Ricky couldn't cope with people learning of his drug problem and took what seemed like the easy way out.
You can't say he ever quit on the field.
He went off to smoke pot but he didn't beat on his girl.

in addition to my previous post I believe we have great leadership now that will not allow us in the future to get trapped into this nonsense again.

:yeahthat:
