MERGED: offensive ranking!!\might not mean much...

I would never have imagined it, especially considering that Denver has a pretty good defense. It's only one week, and I'm sure that we won't stay there. But I would be very happy if we finished in the top 10 for the year because I believe our defense will be in the top 10. If we have both in the top 10, we could have a decent, if not good, year.

Also, notice where Minnesota is.

"In other news hell has frozen over as the dolphins for the first time post-marino are in the Top 5 offenses. Now back to Gill with the jets fans suicide cult......"

The offensive playcalling was really something fun to watch. The fact that we didn't just try and run out the clock in the fourth quarter and hope our defense would win us the game was extremely reassuring and a definite sign of the regime change. If our offense ranks in the top 10 I would be ecstatic.

i too must say that i am pretty schocked to see that we are number one. I hope it can stay that way for the rest of the season. i for one have no doubt im my mind that it can stay that way.

Linehan did a nice job of mixing it up. Just think if CC controls the TD diving catch, adjusts (alla Moss like) for the one in the end zone, Boston catches that stretching slant, and CC catches the one off is arm in the endzone. Those would put us at or over 500 yds.

Wow, all that w/o Ricky. Imagine the fun. I guess I can say for this week that I am a proud Guskateer. I hate to say I told you so, but Gus can do it. Eliminate some penalties and we are a top caliber team if we can be that consistant on O and D.

Still no love from the talking heads! That is OK w/ me. They are afraid to eat crow. Their tails are wedged up their rears.

very very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(usually a reply i reserve for the ladies lounge but i had to make an exception)

I was shocked to see us leading the Offenses...especially when that same website has usually referred to us as offensive. I'm stoked that our talented WR core is finally getting some action. When RW comes back, it'll just get better. Just take a look at the secondaries of our mid-season games...New Orleans, Atlanta, Cleveland, Oakland, San Diego...I'd take a leap and say we are NOT going to be ranked in the bottom 5 this year. GO PHINS!!!

Defense is 8th overall, in points allowed, 12th in yards allowed. Not as impressive as being #1, but not bad.
