i was against Wade Smith to right tackle initially too, but CK brings up good points in Gross, pettigout and others...granted they were more talented initially and built differently, but if it was good enough for them it should be good enough for smith.
Besides then we will have kept "Wade" at RT for less than the money he got from the texans :)

Petitgout was never a "future" LT. He was a RT by trade & was forced to be LT last year(02) after Brown & Oben departed.

Gross is a good example. It still would be a bad move IMO to do that to Smith. He needs to stay at the same position & quit switching around.
