Merged: Rams interested in aquiring Ricky Williams

The league maximum for picks is not 10. Stop playing Madden.

since when do teams trade 2nd or 3rd round picks for 30 year old backup running backs 1 failed test away from being banned from the league?

Run Ricky run! To Miami!
Besides we still own him and he still owes us money...
Her'es to Ricky owning the AFC East!!

Randy Mueller trading Ricky Williams again? Weird...

I'm against a trade, though. Great player, low salary. It's not like he's Pacman Jones or anything. Ricky is actually just a good person who made some bad decisions. Pacman is a lower life form.

I have stopped playing Madden. :rolleyes2

This was just something I read somewhere and that's what I went by, you ok with that?

No. Just cause you read it "somewhere" doesn't make it right. Posting incorrect "facts" is how rumors get started and misinformation gets spread. Research before you post. Facts are your friends.

this better not happen...we need ricky back

Well since you obviously know so much, how many picks is a team allowed to have? I am too lazy to go research.

By the way, if these trade talks heat up, watch and wait for the AP to Miami talks to heat up as well. We wouldnt have a number two back, and with a new coach who knows what he is thinking. Maybe AP fits Cams style better than Ronnie.

Hey guys listen well.....
if this trade" could happen....

i prefer to have ricky this season 2007 that having a x draft pick in 2008

umm how many more players from the dolphins are the rams going to get on their roster, mcmike, minor, jones, now williams?

Good point, ASUFinFan. I've always wondered what Cam and Mueller really think about Ronnie vs. Adrian and the system they want to run here. If it were to happen it might end up looking something like this:

  1. Ricky gets reinstated
  2. Ricky gets traded to the Rams
  3. AP falls to #9
  4. Miami takes AP at #9
  5. Miami trades Ronnie Brown to a team like Green Bay for the #16 pick
  6. Miami selects Staley, a QB, Ginn, etc. at #16
End result: Miami sacrifices Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams for Adrian Peterson and one of the following: the #2 LT, the #2 WR, or the #3 QB in the 2007 draft. If Miami didn't want to take two picks in the top 16 or so of the first round, the second one is of course something they could use to trade down for additional picks, but if they don't have a QB, they might just want to take care of that instead of hoping someone worth drafting is still around later.

They would be talking about this one for years to come!

More Draft picks would not be a bad thing... it seems to me that this deal might not happen till the start of the season seen that Ricky still needs to wait around 2 months to be re-instated, so if a deal/trade is made it will be for draft picks next year...

Getting more draft picks for an unproven player which could be a total bust versus already having a star running back....hmm...tough call.

I'd stick with Ricky at his basement bargain salary that the Phins will be paying him instead of high rookie salaries.....
